OK so a girl in my dorm didn't come back from work and basically disappeared for a couple hours(making a loooong story short). Of course, they called me about it. We found her, she's fine... seriously tho, after I found out she was ok and I could quit trying to figure out what to do, I almost puked and almost had a panic attack. Half of the dorm was like hugging and crying when I came in... I think I just felt like one tiny small inkling of what it's like to be a worried parent.
And now I want icecream. And probably a nap.
The new semester is definitely underway. Today a stuffed animal has been taken hostage. I'm trying to use my authority to ensure the kidnappers don't actual damage "Mr. Squishy." This is basically the most important thing I do here.
Tonight when I met w/ the dorm RAs, our mtg consisted of us sharing chocolate while I sketched my NaNoWriMo novel and they looked up pictures of men in kilts.
Receiving requests for bedtime stories might be my favorite part of this job. Tonight I'm supposed to tell a story involving a princess... I have to make up for last time, which apparently was too scary.
Whenever I have to spend time at the hospital, I like to imagine that I'm in an episode of House.
Freshman who just brought me a slice of pizza.... you are now my favorite, and I'd probably let you get away w/ just about anything this semester.
