I think I just got fully bribed by an Etsy shop.
I had ordered a crop top and when I got it it was two inches longer than stated online which made it not a crop top unless you raised your arms which is like my least favorite thing ever. So I wrote a one star view on both their Etsy page and on their website where I also mentioned that it was stupid that every single one of their models is tiny and wearing a small, which since the small is four inches shorter anyway makes it kind of hard to judge. And that a shop that claims it’s all about embracing the beauty of women’s body should maybe have some diversity of beauty types.
I got a semi nasty email response where they berated me for not contacting them first (I couldn’t find the way to do on Etsy easily) and gave some blah about how it’s illegal to hire based on body shape and all their models are hired based on “points”. Buttttttt they also offered to fix it and ended up sending me a slightly different shirt (tank instead of short sleeves) that is exactly the right size and they sent me two other long sleeve tops all totally free. And now I have more crop tops than I know what to do with so I edited my review to be really nice and edited out all the body stuff even though I think the shirt might be sewn a little crooked. But I guess I’m easily bribed by free stuff.
And then I see that they didn’t even post my review on their website so like that’s mildly shady too. But I said I’d update my review if it was resolved so I guess I will leave a nice one on the new free shirt I got that’s actually the right size. 🤷♀️
