Hi! I just recently got interested in Lupin and I've been absolutely enthralled with LupinZenigata since I searched through this blog (thank you for that)! I know there have been plenty of instances where Zenigata has mourned Lupin's "death", but has anything like that happened vice-versa? I think it'd be really cute to see Lupin getting all choked up over Zenigata (as weird as that sounds).
It's super rare to see Lupin actually get choked up over anyone's death (real or faked). In the 2010 special The Last Job, Lupin does spend a little while believing Pops is gone, but it's...really anticlimactic? We were disappointed, anyway, we think everyone should be crying over Zenigata.
The most you get out of him is some tears when Fujiko fakes her death in red jacket #119, and he's unusually emotional over Goemon in #112. Maybe he usually "knows" that folks are really okay, or maybe he's a cold-hearted asshole.
