The tragic backstory. The character’s introduction to the audience is so sad no matter how shitty the act was, they will go through to the next round.
(aka pull the heart strings of the nation)
Izuku Midoriya would do some All Might impressions and skits of other heros. It was mid but kind of funny in a dorky way yk but also informational you leave with some weird fact about some hero.
(Introduction to the panel and the audience is how he could never be a hero as he was quirkless and his favourite hero All might told him that it wasn't for him but he wants to inspire other children to never give up on their dreams)
Hyakkimaru and Dorro would do some ventriloquism skit in which Dorro is funny in an endearing way and Hyakkimaru is clueless to what the jokes mean. and replies in such a deadpan way without realising how funny he is.
(Introduction to the panel and the audience is that Dorro was an orphan who’s parent died and Hyakkimaru was a wanderer who was abandoned as a baby because he couldn’t see or hear but has now recovered by a ‘miracle’ so Dorro wants to celebrate by appearing on the big screen in hopes of money and fame for them both)
Krona/Crona and Ragnarok would be those sad poetry that flops but in a funny way. Its then Ragnarok saying inappropriate comments that makes the audience laugh while Krona/Crona is reciting poetry that makes you question your entire life. the imbalance between the sad and funny moments made the act funny.
(Introduction to the panel and the audience is Ragnarok embarrassing Krona/Crona while they tell the audience about their psychological/physical trauma from their mother med*sa led them and Ragnarok to bond over poetry and they hopes they enjoy it.)
Shoto Todoroki would be shit talking his dad and talking about how disgusted that people eat hot soba. All while keeping a straight face and his tone neutral that the audience thinks he is joking. He isn’t. He is 100% serious. Its funny but also weird because aint that his dad though.....should we be laughing. Someone that day believed his hypothesis and began eating cold soba. he has changed the nation.
(Introduction to the panel and audience is “ I am Shoto Todoroki i am 15 and im going to give you 100 reasons why to eat cold soba and my hypothesis is people who love hot soba love the Pro hera Endeavour and thats not right. hope you all learn something from this as he is a horrible father.” and begins his act)
Tomoya Okazaki and Nagisa Okazaki with Ushio would sing Dango Daikazoku. Thats it. Tomyoa’s singing isnt the best but everyone could tell he was trying. But Nagisa and Ushio singing <3 . The act is plain but heartwarming too
(Introduction to the panel and audience is Tomoya explaining that the song has deep memories with the family the good and the bad as when they first began dating and when Ushio was born including the bad when he thought he nearly lost Nagisa *insert Tomoya crying* and *insert hicuping* Nagisa will comfort him and Ushio will steal the mic to say she loves her papa and her mama and </3 that he shouldn’t cry. the audience is in tears. I am too. If you aren’t you are a monster.ew)
