Well, because of the text-based RPG I’m part of (where I’m also paired romantically with Loki from One Piece), I was really tempted to turn Nikki into my own OC… And that’s exactly what I did, hahaha
Nikki is the adopted daughter of Dorry and Brogy (yes, I ship my two giant old guys!!). The story of the three began after they (Dorry and Brogy) set out on the high seas to seek adventure — just as Harald had done in his youth. The Red Ogre and the Blue Ogre passed through several islands until they landed on an island of giants in the South Blue (the same region where Ida came from), but the island was devastated, with destruction everywhere.
Houses were on fire or completely destroyed, the bodies of several giants scattered about — as were the bodies of their enemies as well. It was a horrific scene; the giant pirates immediately set out to search for survivors on the island, but to their dismay, they found no living giants. At least that’s what they thought until they heard a faint voice pleading for help along with a child’s cry, very close to where they were standing.
Dorry and Brogy, along with Oimo and Kashii, went to check where the voices were coming from.
Finally, they found a giant lying in a pool of blood while a 1-year-old baby was crying beside her. The giant kept repeating, “Please… Save my Nikki… Please… Save my Nikki…” until she passed away before the four could administer first aid to the woman.
The four of them exchanged another glance before Oimo stepped forward and took the baby into his arms; she gradually stopped crying, leaving only quiet sobs and silent tears rolling down her chubby little face. Brogy, Dorry, and Kashii gathered around their friend to get a better look at the girl in his arms.
As they drew closer, they could see that she had freckles on her chubby cheeks, was blonde just like Brogy, and had green eyes that resembled leaves. Without giving it much thought, they took her with them onto the boat and sailed away, though of course Dorry took something from the baby’s mother so she would have a memento of her late mother.
From then on, they raised Nikki until she was six years old before sending her to Elbaf along with the other giants and staying in Little Garden for 100 years.
One more thing: Ida and Harald took care of Nikki, as did Oimo and Kashii (before those two set out in search of Dorry and Brogy and ended up being captured by the Navy and forced to work for them). Nikki is 68 years old, younger than Hajrudin (81 years old) and older than Loki (63 years old). She’s always teasing Loki, and he gets really annoyed with her. Hajrudin doesn’t like Nikki teasing Loki so much — because he thinks Loki might say something hurtful to his friend and make her cry because of it.
Oh, I plan to turn this into a fanfic that I’ll be posting here on Tumblr and on AO3! This is just a really rough draft of what I have in mind for the story.
P.S.: The drawing is a bit old, so Nikki doesn't have freckles in it. The idea to give her freckles came to me just recently 😅
