Do you see those little green specks in this bar? This is our Samphire bar in 67% Palo Blanco Dark Chocolate. The bright green specks you can see in the chocolate is locally grown samphire. Samphire is a succulent that naturally contains a higher amount of salt, which makes a lovely addition to this chocolate without actually using salt. The background is a smugglers’ beach here in Dorset where hundreds of years ago many famous smugglers spent time. There is still part of an old shipwreck sticking out of the water near the coast (not on photo). The beach is also scattered with an enormous amount of fossils, so so many fossils. Impossible to take a step without stepping on many fossils. Not called the Jurassic Coast for nothing.
