When BG3 was first announced, there was a really stupid argument about the new game not being "dark enough." They came up with this idea because DOS2 was a "fun and bright" game. Why? Well, because Divinity dared to use really bright colors (that is, colors other than gray and shitlike brown) and the game had jokes (the horror!). To further understand how stupid this idea was, you have to remember that both previous BGs weren't dark fantasy at all. I don't understand where they even got that idea from?(the popularity of The Witcher I guess?). Unlike DOS2 that actually does have really dark scenes. And the funniest thing is that these complaints came after that trailer:
sure yeah after seeing this, I know for sure that this game is a cute magic adventure for five-year-olds. After that, it was really hard for me to take "fans of gritty realistic dark fantasy" seriously.
