Spoilers, but it’s from a popular video game that came out about 10 years ago:

I am playing Divinity: Original Sin II for the first time to take a break from BG3. I am an undead lizard inquisitor to try to move away from my class types I normally play. So far, just like with all adventure RPG, I have no idea what I am doing nor where I am going nor do I understand, fully, the world I am in. I understand this game has been out for a minute; however, there are 3 things that I was not prepared for: that lizards can dig without needing a shovel, undead can use their little finger bones as lock picks, and lizards get some hate. I’m like damn what did lizards do then I finally read the description and I’m like oh.

I myself am not “old” but sometimes when I am in character creator of an RPG I like to make “old” characters. Not meaning companions because a lot of companions are old or older but I mean like your character. I understand you can make your character how you want and you can come up with their backstory for yourself but like I want to see old oc’s act older; if you choose to make them old that is. I know video game technology and coding can go so far so this isn’t a complaint about anything just my own rants.

But because character creator is everyone choose their own character here are my old character backstories. Like in DA:I my second playthrough was a human mage who I made look as old as possible with the sliders that are given to you and in my mind she is constantly like I am too old for this shit. Or in DOS 2 where I made an undead lizard and I made her like a thousand years old because why not?BG3 was different my Dragonborn can’t really look old but I role played her as older and she was like why me I’m going to die soon I’m a giant lizard and live till like 50 lol. Anyway that is that. There are probably games like that and I am excited for veilguard to come out but sometimes I want to see older characters for the sole reason I am getting older and would like to see an “old” chosen one.
