GUYS!!!!! I CAN DO TRANSLATED WORKS FOR MY DISSERTATION!! HELL YEAAHHHH! it's 3500 words and I can (and probably should) compare works!! (although if a single work has a lot to discuss i can do it alone, either works for me) HELP ME DECIDE!

ideas so far:

how dostoevsky explores good/evil through myshkin and stavrogin (also could do one on spiritual emptiness/fulfilment)

how dostoevsky explores contemporary prejudice (disability, poverty and misogyny) with characters in the idiot

nihilism and intergenerational differences in demons/fathers and sons (since demons is, in some capacity, in conversation with fathers and sons, this would be quite an easy analysis i think)

gay vampires? carmilla and dracula (bro idk)

killing as a symbol- crime and punishment and the secret history (students murdering for an intellectual ideal)

i would be very pleased to write about a wilde/baldwin/woolf text and am also open to reading new books!!! i rly wanna land on a good idea here because this is worth the largest portion of my grade and ive lowk been training for this moment for years
