DOTS Project - 4

“I… came from a rather cutthroat environment. Not that I ever minded it— the people there were my family. Or, are. I haven’t been able to find them yet, though. I suppose between cases all I can really do is look for them. Even if they aren’t here, there’s no point in anything anymore if I don’t have them. So I’ll keep looking everyday, no matter what. A good father does whatever he can for his children until the very end.”

“You ever had to deal with a gajillion lawyer jokes a day? No wonder that both my sis and my friend Nick detested them. Sure, there’re corrupt lawyers out there, but i’ve known so many good people at the field! Law should walk alongside goodness, is what I think!”

DOTS Project - 2

“I have been trying to focus on the future and how to help others. Sometimes I think about my family and start to really miss them, but I know they would not want me to be sad, so I try to think of this city as my new family. I really want to see those smiles again, the kind I used see on their faces when I gave them a home-cooked meal. They could always tell when I put extra love in it. I know it will not be the same, and that things change, but new can be good. I can make new friends and see new smiles. That is what I want, right now."

DOTS Project - 1

“I’m caring for my sister right now. She’s not sick, but she just had her first child, and she’s exhausted. I get it, really. I’ve never had any kids of my own, but I remember how our mom was when she had my sister. I was ten then, and I can still remember it clear as day. Never wanted any of my own, just never lived the lifestyle, but if I can be there as an uncle, I’d like that.”
