I’m curious to see if Penelope’s ears darken over time like Dottie’s!

She still gets a little more white at the base of her ears during the winter and her paws lose color! But in general she gets darker every year and she also has a gray spot on her dewlap now and I can’t get a clear picture of it bc she just turns into an Egg if I try 😂❤️

Yes, while some of it is just her being cleaner and (hopefully) healthier, I do believe she has gone from grey-brown to dark brown. She also hasn't magnificently molted since she came home, which just goes to show you what climate control can do for a girl. :v

No, really, there’s a head/ears gesture she does when she’s eating hay that indicates she’s extremely pleased, and sometimes she does it in her sleep while nibbling on nothing

Never a “maybe” answer to any suggestion! Always “Yes!!!!” Or “NO FLUFFIN’ WAY!!!”

Rarely kisses me, has probably kissed me 3 times in her life, but sometimes presses her lips to the back of my leg to remind me that she has teeth when I’m slow to give her breakfast

Really believes in her own importance. Truly the center of the universe. Not even arrogant about it, just wakes from every nap ready to be the protagonist

Quick to celebrate whatever pleases her

Literally got her name because I tried it out for a day and she binkied whenever she heard it like “Yes! I’m pleased with that name!”

Very considerate, only nibbles the most dainty holes in my blankets and sweatpants

One time, she tried to fight a bird

(no Emilys were harmed in the “Dottie tried to fight a bird” Incident, and other than giving Emily a big ‘ol sniff one time when she startled and landed on the floor, they haven’t interacted much since)

Miss Dottie “I’m too old to hop anymore” Mouse is feeling so much better…jumped up onto my bed by herself and was very mad when I intervened to carry her instead of letting her leap off on her own

Miss “I’m officially an old lady!” Dottie Mouse just did a little mini-zooom and binky! I’m so glad she’s feeling better.

I can tell Dottie is smarter than anyone gives rabbits credit for bc she tries to bite the syringe in half, she doesn’t nibble the end because she knows I’ll put medicine in her mouth if she does. No matter what I do, she turns her head and bites the middle of the syringe to avoid getting even a sip of medicine and then SHOVES it at me, bc this is about avoiding medicine but it’s also about communicating “NO I DON’T WANNA” as clearly as possible.

She could bite me, had plenty of opportunity to bite tf outta my hand, but she’s On A Mission to communicate about the syringe! No more syringe!
