when they put their lil paws up on you, such that you are worthy of their attentions. it made my heart explode so much when i started at the shelter, it just had to have a name and somehow that’s what i ended up calling it.

Rabbits!

This is Thumper. He was a mini lop rabbit, and my first ever pet. He unfortunately passed away is 2019, after a long 5 years of life. Fun fact about Thumper: he had hayfever. My family and I had to give him special eye drops for it, which he absolutely hated.

These are Biscuit and Lacey, sisters born from the same litter. Again, both are mini lops. Biscuit is the one with one ear up and the brown spot on her nose. Lacey is all white. Sadly, Lacey also passed away two years ago. She had to be put down due to being in a lot of pain from rabbit arthritis. Like Thumper, she was five. Biscuit is still alive, and is turning 7 this year! Fun fact about both rabbits: they’re albinos (or at least, I think so. I don’t know if Biscuit would be considered a true albino, but they had white fur and red eyes, indicating a lack of melanin). Lacey was always a lover of food, and Biscuit can be very cheeky at times.

Apollo has resumed his quest for 'up' and is making amazing progress! He even managed to jump onto the back of the couch (a bunny feat not seen since River) and hop down from the couch all by himself. He was very proud of that and had to show us this new ability multiple times!
