Friendly reminder to those new to Galar: don't fuck with Blipbug. Those fuckers hold grudges and they have photogenic memory. They WILL remember the slightest misdeeds you did to them. And when they become an Orbeetle, they WILL hunt you down to get your revenge. "But it doesn't know where I live", it will figure it out. They're excellent radars. They are very fast, and will search the whole damn region to find you.

There's a common Galarian saying about this. "There is no greater revenge than the one given from an Orbeetle."

Take it from someone with an Orbeetle: Joker loves me and I love him, but even HE got back at me from shit I don't even remember I did to him as a Blipbug. It was small, but apparently, I gave my Inteleon (sobble at the time) food first before him, which made him really grumpy, so the little fucker waited until he was an Orbeetle to steal my food and dump it into the trash can because, "If he didn't get to eat, I don't get to eat." (Explained how he told me this here). That was just a silly one that I now find funny, but like, seriously. These things can be deadly if they want to be.

Drawing and Reviewing a Random Pokemon #10 and #11: Dottler and Grubbin

Dottler -- 3/10

Everyone who jokes about how Maractus is forgettable pokemon... when's the last time you had a single thought about Dottler? I haven't, not since attempting to complete the SwSh dex, circa 2019. I think she's ugly, I think she's weird, I think she looks like a Mario 3D World enemy, probably skuttling around the desert. I think she looks like a creep and a pervert. Absolutely shocking that Trumbeak's bulbapedia is less visited than this thing (citation: my vague memory of a youtube video)

However ☝️ a redeeming quality is that her color palette, pattern, and shape language could be translated to really epic high fashion, or just super tacky thriftwear (compliment). I can see it now, a hexagonal hoop skirt with polka dots. Literally... Iconic. In that way, she reminds me of Yayoi Kusama. I bet any gijinka design for this thing absolutely fucks.

despite my harshness, I do genuinely appreciate her weirdness. being ugly and weird will always be better than being boringly appealing. i try to live by this axiom everyday. skuttle on, dottler, skuttle on...

Grubbin -- 5/10

Mm. I dunno. I don't really think much about Grubbin. I don't dislike him, but I don't feel any fondness for him, either. I was never going to be a fan of a larval stage bug pokemon anyway. doesn't have no butterfly wings, big nasty legs, or anything cool like that. it's just a bug......... s'okay
