their signature salted egg sauce is great here warm and just the right balance of salty and custard sweetness ; but the balance stops there - cronut itself is too sweet, and seemed to be covered in a layer of deep fried oil.

while the eclair is a less sweet vessel of their popular salted egg sauce (vs the popular cronut), the pastry is nothing to shout about. served cold, the sauce is less exciting than its warm cronut incarnation.
