Lorre's Cat Café: Paynter
An unpredictable and destructive idiot.
Paynter got his name after an incident that began with wet road paint, and ended with police being called. We won't even go into that.
Paynter fancies himself a hunter. He's not. Every single one of his attempts has ended in both failure and a colossal mess. Shall we talk about the time he tried to go fishing at the Laszlo Aquarium next door? Or the carnival stand he tore up trying to catch one of the animatronic puppets? Or the time he wound up on the roof of a strip club and almost electrocuted himself on the sign?
Let's focus on the positives. In his better behaved moods, Paynter loves to lie on the radio and listen to music. He'll usually meow at the singers and DJs as if he's trying to talk to them.
Unfortunately Paynter's mood can be hard to predict. One moment he'll be lying in the middle of the floor. The next, he'll be screeching and yeowling, only to suddenly fall asleep right in the middle of a freak-out. Then he'll snap back awake, smash something, and be on a roof two buildings over within one minute.
He's also extremely attached to a dalmatian named Charlie, who lives at the diner adjacent to our café. Paynter follows the dog around like, well, a dog. And he gets very cross at anyone who he perceives as a threat to Charlie.
