My roses and fuschias are thriving! I'm overjoyed about the fuschias because I massacred last year's, the poor things. I think I've finally cracked the secret to keeping them alive-- constant vigilance.

Meanwhile, my roses have been growing like weeds! And they're all full of blooms! So far the reds, pinks, and yellows have blossomed. Still waiting on my peach roses. She's probably a week or so out, but she's got plenty of buds.

Also introducing my new dianthus. I've got one in a pot (under close monitoring) and one in the clay to see how it does in the flowerbed amongst the other plants. I've never cared for a dianthus before, so we'll see how they do this season.

How are your new roses and lavender doing, friend?

They're doing soooo well!! My mini roses have already grown a fair bit, as has my new full-size rose bush. It's ✨ booming ✨, actually, so I guess it likes the patch of garden I picked for it lol. 😊

As for the lavender, it did a little too well lol. It kind of 🌿 exploded 🌿 out of its pot much sooner than I expected and I had to get it in the ground sooner than I'd anticipated. BUT it's doing really well! Hopefully it continues to be as strong and happy and eager to grow now that it's in the ground!

I'm still enjoying winter very much (and fall/winter is actually my favorite time of year), but I'm also quite looking forward to spring/summer to come back to Jim's Rest, so I can enjoy the colors and smells that always brings with it. I do so love basking in the sun, meditating under my trees, and reading/writing outside in the sunshine whilst enjoying tea and the sweet scents of flowers all around.
