Guest Finds Cat in Local Man's House, Leaving Homeowner Confused About Where Cat Came From
Ah I made Mavuto & Penny with this super cute Picrew and I love how they turned out! They're such polar opposites but they still adore each other.
Oh hi throwing more things at you! leather ottoman: how do you structure your wips? do you outline or fly fast and loose? gold obsidian egg: what do you treasure the most about your wip? hot chocolate squishmallow: do you include food in your writing? do you have a preferred beverage you gravitate toward while working?
Ah! These are such good questions honestly. I love that ask meme.
Leather Ottoman: I normally do not outline anything. For some reason, I just cannot stick to an outline at all, which is infuriating when I really want to plan things out. But I have a spectacular mental layout of most of my works, and a good sense of which scene goes where, so I guess I outline, in a non-traditional way? It works, so I try not to question it too much. Just roll with the punches. Especially with my novelette that I wrote in college, which was a collection of braided vignettes that alternated between the past and present, where the scenes were just ended entirely on Vibes in a way that my workshop thought was "natural", so hell yeah.
Gold Obsidian Egg: For Greenest, I treasure how the characters create the story. It is one of my more character-driven fantasy novels, with the character dynamics always shifting, growing, and severing. The same for Double-Trickery, honestly. (I've worked on both today, so I'll count them both as "current".)
Hot Chocolate Squishmallow: Yes! I love describing food! With all of my allergies, I treat writing as a way to consume things that would hurt me. I know I have an excerpt of Tsarevna of the Horned Crown where I describe a Russian-inspired feast, and the pivotal romantic climax of my novelette Body is centered around durian. For my preferred drink, I love a good iced matcha or dirty chai latte! :)
Thanks for the ask! I love talking about my WIPs. Monolouging is sort of My Thing, haha.
Writing about Mavuto and Penny makes me feel because Mavuto was raised with so much love and Penny was raised with none
I like to angst about what Penny did while Mavuto was gone in Faeriehell
