During EA Play’s 2019 showcase we has the news that this weekend while season one is still running is a Double-XP weekend. Keep an eye on the rotating store for new legendary items. Also until 18th of June there is a ‘Legendary Hunt’ mode (titled ‘Elite Queue’) that allows those of you that finish in the top five to join a new mode to take on the best of the legends.
The main focus here however was the announce of season two (titled Battle Charge and arriving July 2nd) and all of the goodies that come with it. Included are a significant amount of cosmetic additions. There are daily and weekly challenges that stack and there is a new weapon in the form of L-Star which is being termed a ‘care-package weapon’ and it can shatter through doors. Pretty cool, huh?
There were also four legendary skins announced. Caustic gets a Prince of Darkness skin while Octane gets a Jade Tiger outfit. Spitfire gets the Intimidator while there are two skins for the R-301 at level 100. Iron Rampage, both standard and a fancy gold version, too.
There was also a new Legend unveiled called Wattson who was introduced by her father. Wattson is a scientist/mechanical engineer and has been suggested to be used with a more RTS-styled gameplay. We can’t wait to get to grips with her starting July 2nd.
