It had been a long Monday at school and all Karkat wanted to do was curl up in a dozen blankets and hide from the world for a few days. He thought it over for a little while before deciding he'd rather just call his frie- boyfriend.
Curled up in his computer chair he hit the video call button and hoped Sollux wasn't to busy working to answer.
It was a little past five in the afternoon when Karkat finally woke up rubbing his eyes. Untangling his arm from the multiple blankets he'd burrowed underneath, he grabs his phone from it's resting spot on the desk beside his bed. He stares at it for a moment before deciding to text Sollux.
"Hey. How was your day?"
Good Morning
Karkat pulled up slowly and parked in front of Sollux’s house before checking the clock on his dashboard. He wondered if 7:30 was okay or if he should wait another half hour to let his date know he had arrived.
After waiting about another three minutes he decides 7:30 should be fine and sends off a quick text to announce his arrival.
“Hey Sol. Hope you’re ready cause I’m sitting outside your place.”

Karkat stares into his mug of tea, the contents reminding him that he needs to get the homework assignment from Sollux for the class he skipped to keep painting in the schools studio. He shoots of a quick text to check if Sollux is still awake at 1 AM.
"Hey Sol. U up? I skipped class again and gotta get the HW."
Karkat takes a couple deep breathes after catching up to the taller guy.
"What was up with the whole kiss and run man? We're in school! What if somebody saw!?"
It was getting to be some what late in the afternoon but Karkat still hadn't called Sollux. He was afraid of both Nepeta's and Dave's wrath if one of them happened to find out. Squeezing his eyes shut, Karkat shoves a pillow over his face and gives a frustrated scream. Thoughts churning through his head without end. "What the fuck am I even doing?! Just call him already. Ugh. Okay. Gonna call him. Or not. Fuck." Hesitantly picking up the phone, Karkat types up and sends a short message. "Sup Sol."
