I’ve just seen someone’s theory that Emily’s sister is a half sister on her dad’s side who walked out on them. Which would explain why both have never been mentioned before!

A Lexie grey-esque character!

And that makes the most sense to me right now, so I hope the writers saw it!

However. It doesn’t really explain the way Emily talked about her in the elevator, but who knows… maybe she spent a few weekends or summers at her dads?!

In-between watching s17 of cme, I'm going back to rewatch s16 just for Douglas Bailey. Yall don't understand how much I love and miss that man (I mean it's nicholas d'agosto so ofc) yeah he was annoying at the beginning but he grew on me. I hate that they killed him off in ep10 and honestly i don't think it was necessary.

Since Spencer Reid has been absent from the show, Bailey ended up being my new favourite and at this point I don't give a fuck whether reid comes back or not...I just want Bailey back SOMEHOW, just give me a flashback or SOMETHING! For the love of God...

Also the reid obsessed fans...SOME are insufferable, I'm sorry but you are. There are those that are ok people, you lot are fine. It's confirmed he's not in s17. Matthew will return when he returns, it's up to him. Get over it. Half the time when I check the comments on the criminal minds page, half the comments are filled with spencer reid related questions or whatever. He'll come back when he comes back, IF he comes back. Deal with it. There's still a possibility for s18 but I wouldn't hold your breath. And even if he does come back, the likelihood is that mgg will be in a max of maybe 5-6 episodes, minimum 3 as a guest star is my guess.

I'm missing Bailey more so, I just want him back at this point. I'll be happy if reid returns, he was my first favourite (he still kinda is but the some fans are driving me away from liking him tbh - it's the reid obsessed side of the fandom I don't like and it makes it difficult for me to still like the character if you get what I'm saying)

But honestly at this point...just get back nicholas d'agosto. I just want Bailey.

I really love seeing more of the bureaucracy in Criminal Minds Evolution, I like seeing Emily tangle with Bailey and the Attorney General, and Rebecca Wilson as the legal liaison.

It's much better than the Barnes thing in season 13 because it's more grounded.

Emily first, tangles with an ambitious but green Deputy Director and sees the Section Chief laying out all of the unhinged BAU cases former Section Chief Erin Strauss has to justify to the AG.

I love seeing Emily tangle with the AG -- again, Emily hates politics with a passion but she's good at it and the more she climbs the FBI ladder, the more she has to play the game.

ALSO! I just noticed on rewatch, that Emily is posted up there right next to the Deputy Director Bailey in the Senior Staff hierarchy, and they're posted right below the Attorney General!

As the audience we never got to see the nuance and the political maneuverings Strauss had to do because she's not our point of-view character but because we watched Emily climb the ranks we get more of a perspective now!

And I honestly love it.

I honestly love this-- I love it when Prentiss does some questionable things but I also love it when she is kept accountable because she has to do some fancy footwork to keep BAU going.

I hope we see the Attorney General again.
