Summary: Your brother finds you in a compromising position with one of his bandmates
A/N: Hi friends! I know I’ve been gone forever but I’m back now ( at least for a bit) Please take this Tommy imagine as a peace offering lol. Buckle up babes it’s a long one...
Warning: It gets a tad steamy
Based loosely on this song
Well the times are gettin' hard for you little girl
I'm a hummin' and a strummin' all over God's world
You can't remember when you had your last meal
And you don't know just how a woman feels
You didn't know what rock and roll was
Until you met my drummer on the Grey tour bus
I got there in the nick of time
Before he got his hands across your state line, yeah
You’d been wandering around the venue looking for your brother for the past fifteen minutes. He’d handed you a flier that morning with an emotionless expression and a slight nod. If you didn’t know him so well, you’d think that the action was a joke and not a silent plea for you to come see him play. You’d been to a few of his gigs before but this was the first with the new band. The bar wasn’t terribly crowded yet, just a few people milling about. The windows were grimy and every once in a while you’d wince at the sunlight that came through the door whenever someone new arrived. Waitresses placed coasters on the high-top tables and the bartender busied himself lining up the various glasses and bottles behind the bar. A few early-bird patrons sat at the barstools and talked in hushed tones.
“You don’t seem like the type that would come to see a band in a dingy bar. You work here?”
A voice behind you made you whip around, bringing you face-to-face, well more like face-to-chest, with a freakishly tall frame. As you tilted your gaze upward, you met the smirk of a long-haired, lanky guy. You couldn’t help but look him up and down as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, fiddling with the zipper on his leather jacket.
You felt your cheeks heat as you met his eyes. Damn, if this was the kind of guy that came to see bands in dingy bars, you’d have to come more often. You shook yourself from your momentary daze.
“That so?” You crossed your arms in mock offense, a smirk of your own playing on your lips “ I’m looking for my brother. He’s working tonight.” You nodded out into the large area where the stage was. The attractive stranger gave you a dazzling smile, leaning his elbow on the high-top table closest to him and nearly tumbling to the floor when his arm missed the edge of the table by a good few inches. He recovered quickly, running a hand through his long locks and trying to regain the suave demeanor he had previously possessed. You couldn’t help but let out a laugh.
“I love a good laugh, You have a great laugh. I’m Tommy.” The words rushed out of him all at once and you could practically see him mentally kicking himself for going all gaga on you. You laughed again, sticking out your hand.
“I’m Y/N. Are you always this clumsy?” He scoffed, leaning toward you slightly as his eyes narrowed slightly and a devious smirk played on his lips.
“Only around beautiful girls,” he said, that panty-dropping smile once again finding its way to his face.
You weren’t sure how long it had been before you found yourself pressed against the peeling paint of the bar’s bathroom stall as Tommy’s tongue worked its way across your collarbone.
“Tommy, are you sure th-oh God,” His teeth had gently grazed your skin and you could feel his thumbs rubbing little circles into your hips.
“What was that?” you could practically feel him smirking into the skin of your chest. He lifted your left thigh over his hip, spinning the two of you so you were pressed between his hips and the cold porcelain of the sink.
“Ow! Jesus! What is that?!” The movement left you with something jabbed into your ribs.
“Shit, sorry.” Tommy mumbled, tossing the drumsticks in the waistband of his pants to the other side of the bathroom before connecting your lips once again.
Drumsticks? Who carries around a pair of drumsticks tucked into their pants?
One hand had tangled in your hair and he had just unbuckled your belt with the other when the bathroom door banged open, slamming against the wall and rattling the mirror your back was now pressed against.
“Yo, Tommy, when you’re done with your lady friend here, we need you for sound che- Y/N?!” Nikki’s face went from shock to absolute amusement in a matter of seconds. “Oh shit, this is gonna be good!” He said gleefully as he ran off in the opposite direction, the heavy door swinging shut behind him.
Tommy pulled away from you slightly. When had he undone his pants?
“You know Nikki?” he asked, utterly confused. You stared at the doorway that had been previously occupied by none other than Nikki Sixx.
“Yeah. I only met him once. He’s in my brother’s band.” Tommy’s face went white as a sheet.
“Wait, what?”
“I’m going to give you two seconds to get your hands off my sister, drummer.” Your brother, Mick stood in the doorway, a can of hairspray and a lighter clutched in his hands and, knowing him, he was fully prepared to use them.
“Jesus Chri- look, man, I swear to God I didn’t know!” Tommy stumbles away from you, nearly tripping over the skinny jeans that had now bunched at his knees.
“Mick, What the hell?!” You hopped off the sink, straightening your shirt.
“Y/N. I see you’ve met our drummer.” his monotone voice doing nothing to hide the obvious hatred he was feeling for Tommy right now.
“Your what?!” Your eyes darted back and forth between the man whose hands had been all over your body just seconds before and your brother who looked fully intent on murdering him.
“Drummer, as in the guy in the band who plays the drums.” Nikki giggled from behind your brother, obviously enjoying the exchange. “Told you this was gonna be good!” he nodded toward Tommy, laughing again and going off in search of a beer.
I know the ending sucked but I didn’t want to make it too long lol. Part 2 anyone?
Hey I was wondering if you could write something for Mötley Crüe where the reader has been with the band since the beginning and is a motherly influence. Like she is roughly their age but just takes care of them and is the only one that can truly control them if need be. I just think it would be so cute and like they could call her Ma. I feel like if she were to get with one of them though it would ether be Mars or Tommy. It’s just something that I would love for you to bring to life
A/N: I did leave out the bit about the reader dating one of the boys because I couldn’t decide which one to use lol. If I do a second part to this, I’ll pick then 👌
Update: As I wrote this it kinda turned into a Tommy x reader.....my bad
“Same old shit every damn day....” you mumbled under your breath, sliding the scrunchie off your wrist and tying Vince’s blonde hair into a little topknot while he was hunched over the toilet. Another late night of partying sent you into mom mode, trying to make sure the boys survived at least until the next show.
“Ughhh..” Vinced moaned, his stomach no doubt churning from the amount of alcohol he’d consumed a few hours prior. You rubbed his back soothingly, placing a cup of water next to him before making your way to the doorway of the bathroom. “Thanks, Ma.” you heard him mumble.
As you exited the bathroom you went in search of the remaining aftermath of last night’s party, thankful that the boys were staying in a house rather than a hotel. It made it easier to keep track of them. You found Nikki passed out on the couch in the living room. He looked otherwise intact, however, the closer you got, the more you could see how wrong you were. There was gum in his hair, he had a cut on his left eyebrow, and his shoelaces were tied together. You sighed, grateful that the rental house’s kitchen came fully stocked. You plucked a jar of peanut butter from the cabinet just as Mick was walking in, rubbing his temples.
“Coffee’s on the counter, Mick. House meeting in a half hour.” He waved you off but nodded nonetheless, pouring himself a steaming cup and sitting down at the kitchen island. He rested his forehead on the cold marble, sighing in relief as it seemed to help the pounding in his head.
Nikki stirred on the couch as you approached, looking around as if he didn’t know where he was. He stretched, nearly rolling off the couch, the only thing stopping him being your own body as you sat beside him.
“Morning, Ma. What happened last night?” He tried to run a hand through his hair, wincing when he got stuck in the gum.
“Nik, it’s 1pm. Not exactly morning. And hold still, I’m trying to help you, you big baby!” Nikki batted at your hands flitting around his face and hair, only stopping when you grasped his wrists and gave him a stern look. He pouted, folding his hands over his stomach while you worked. After a few minutes, and peanut butter covered hands, you were finally able to get the sticky pink substance out of Nikki’s hair.
You gently punched his arm.
“All done. Go get yourself a shower, you stink.” Nikki rolled his eyes, standing from the couch but falling to the floor soon after.
“Son of a bi- TOMMY!” Nikki fumed from the shaggy carpet under his cheek. It was then you realized that you had not yet seen the tall drummer. A giggle sounded from behind the kitchen counter and you caught the tail end of Tommy’s escape from the room as you looked up. You rolled your eyes, pulling off Nikki’s boots that you’d completely forgotten were tied together.
Tommy peeked around the corner again and you pointed a threatening finger at him.
“You. Sit.” Tommy hung his head, stalking over and slouching to the couch in front of you. Nikki gave him a glare and made an attempt to take a swing at the tall brunette, before you chucked the pair of boots at him. “You, Shower. Now.”
You turned back to Tommy, folding your arms over your chest and cocking one hip. “Did you tie Nikki’s boots together?” Tommy snickered, quickly catching himself and trying to put on some semblance of a poker face. “Jesus, Tommy! What if he fell down the stairs or into the pool?!”
“Could you maybe not yell?” Mick groaned from the kitchen.
“You stay out of this!” You glanced back at Tommy, raising an eyebrow. “Why are you fine?”
“What?” Tommy looked utterly confused.
“Why are you fine? Hey, look at me.” You gently grasped his chin, looking into his eyes. The weren’t dilated and he didn’t smell like alcohol.
“Take a picture. It’ll last longer.” Tommy smirked, the flirty comment knocking you out of your thoughtful state. You gave him a little shove.
“Are you sober right now?” you asked, the surprise clear in your voice.
“Why, yes, I am.” he smiled innocently. You backed away slightly, lowering yourself into the chair opposite him. Tommy leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees and giving you a megawatt smile. “Close your mouth, darlin’. You’ll catch flies.” He laughed, tapping your chin. You closed your mouth, giving him a questioning stare.
“Do you mean to tell me that you didn’t drink yourself into oblivion or take any kind of drugs last night? I find that extremely hard to believe.”
Tommy sat back, slinging an arm over the back of the couch. He smiled softly, almost as if he was embarrassed.
“I didn’t want....” he trailed off, speaking so low you could hardly hear him.
“Speak up, Tommy. What are you up to?!”
“I said I didn’t want you to have to deal with all of us while we were down for the count, ok! Last time we had a party like that we were all so wasted and you had to take care of us even though you’d hardly slept yourself and we had a really busy day that day and I know you work really hard and I just wanted to, you know...help, I guess.” The words rushed out of him and he shrugged gently, not meeting your eyes.
You hand flew to your mouth, hiding a shy smile.
“Tommy? Hey, come on!” you tapped his knee and he finally met your gaze, a light blush on his cheeks. “You were worried about me?” you asked softly.
“Yes, Ma. It’s because he loves you now will you please shut the fuck up? My head is killing me!” Mick interjected from the kitchen.
“Fuck off, old man!” Tommy yelled, an exasperated sigh leaving his lips as he stood abruptly.
You glanced up at him, words lost on your lips as Tommy awkwardly shifted in front of you.
“Tommy? Is that true?” you whispered.................
The atmosphere in the green room was nothing like you’d expected to find before a show, but then again, it wasn’t every day that your brother caught you in a heated makeout session with his new bandmate. You and Tommy sat on opposite ends of the dirty green room couch, the aforementioned piece of furniture vibrating slightly as a result of Tommy’s knee bouncing up and down nervously. Mick paced quietly in front of you, every once in a while stopping to open his mouth as if he were going to speak before shaking his head and resuming his conflicted walking. You spared a glance at the lanky drummer. He had slouched back against the ragged cushions, chewing on his thumbnail. He looked terrified. It was adorable.
You knew your brother wouldn’t actually hurt him. Mick was never one to take out his frustrations on someone else. He would much rather lock himself in a room and compose a mean guitar riff. Nikki sat cross-legged on one of the vanity tables, nearly bouncing with joy. He couldn’t wait to see how this one turned out. The awkward silence in the room was broken when a whirlwind of blonde hair and leather pants stumbled into the room.
“Sorry I’m la- well hello.” The singer’s eyes landed on you, turning up the charm.
“I wouldn’t go there, Vince....” Tommy mumbled, earning a smirk from you.
“You don’t get to talk!” Mick pointed at Tommy, the threatening look returning to his eyes.
Vince looked over at Nikki who was currently motioning between you and Mick and mouthing ‘sister’.
“Oh shit! this is your sister?! Well, man, I guess we know who got the looks in that family!” Vince stated, prompting a laugh from everyone but your seething brother.
“She’s off limits, you fucking child. Seeing her with one of you was quite enough. I have no desire to witness anything of the sort ever again!” Mick yelled. Vince looked confused as he turned to Nikki, raising an eyebrow.
“Don’t look at me. This one’s on Tommy.” Vince smiled, leaning forward to clap Tommy on the shoulder.
“Good work, Tommy boy! You know, if you’re up for sharing...” Vince wiggled his eyebrows, jumping back as Tommy swung at him.
“Shut up, man. It’s not like that!”
You barely had enough time to stand from the uncomfortable sofa and place a firm hand on your brother’s chest before he attacked the smaller blonde. There was fire in Mick’s eyes and you thanked every higher power there was for the backstage worker who came in to announce they were ready to begin.
“Um, sorry to interrupt, but we’re ready for you.” The man clutched his clipboard to his chest protectively, almost looking like he was ready to use it as a shield in case anything was thrown at him.
You patted Mick reassuringly.
“Go get your guitar and kick some ass.” You smiled at him.
“Yeah I know whose ass I’ll be kicking...” he said under his breath. You glanced back at Tommy, who had strategically placed himself between Nikki and Vince in the line to get out of the room. You gave him a small smile, desperately hoping that your brother hadn’t scared him off. Granted, your meeting hadn’t been the conventional type, but there was something different about him.
--After the show--
The boys returned to the green room in a haze of sweat and cigarette smoke, the vibe in the building still buzzing with the hype of the new band. You were beyond surprised when you were lifted into a sweaty hug and spun around. Tommy placed you back on the ground quickly stepping away, his hands up as the smile dropped from his face.
“Sorry, fuck, I’m sorry. I didn’t-” You were about to tell him that it was fine, that you were proud of them when -
“Y/N!” Your brother wandered into the room, thankfully having missed Tommy’s affections. “What did you think?” he asked nervously. You’d known Mick your whole life, he was your big brother...the brave one. This was a side of him you’d rarely see. He was seeking your approval. You pulled him into a hug, not really surprised when he didn’t reciprocate.
“I’ve never seen anything like it, Mick. You guys really are something.” you said as you pulled away, not missing the slightest of smiles that passed over your brother’s lips. “I’m gonna go get some celebratory drinks! You guys clean up your stuff and I’ll meet you at the bar.”
“I think I’m gonna have a smoke before we start. Back in a flash.” Tommy said, that megawatt smile back on his face, clearly happy with how the show went. You wandered out of the room into the small back hallway that lead from the green room back to the main bar room. You fanned yourself slightly with the band flier you brother had given you that morning, the stuffiness in the air getting worse as you entered the room full of people.
Squeezing your way up to the bar, you were attempting to flag down the bartender when you felt a hand on your wrist. A glance behind you provided an unsavory view of a clearly drunk man flanked by two others. The one who now had a firm grip on your wrist, smiled menacingly, the drink in his hand sloshing out of the glass as he swayed on his feet.
“What’s a pretty thing like you doing here alone?” he slurred, tugging you closer, your elbow now bent painfully as he held your wrist against his chest.
“I’m not alone, now please let me go.” You said calmly, though your racing heartbeat would have given you away if anyone could hear it.
Surprisingly, he released you as the bartender came over to take your order. You’d assumed that he’d gone, but after the bartender placed the tray of shots in front of you, you were yanked backward, the creep’s hand on your hip, slowly sliding around your stomach. You struggled in his grip, trying to stomp on his foot in an effort to make him let go.
“Hey! Ass wipe! Get the fuck off.” Tommy’s raised voice echoed despite the crowded bar. A few people around you stepped back as Tommy shouldered his way to your side, no doubt hoping to avoid being caught in the impending brawl. You could smell the cigarette smoke and night air on his T-shirt as he sidled up next to you, grabbing the man’s hand from your waist and shoving him back a few feet. The creep stumbled back, his glass crashing to the ground as his friends caught him.
Tommy gently took your hand in one of his, the other reaching around you to pick up the tray of shots from the bar. You’d nearly made it back to the hallway door when you heard a booming voice behind you.
“Isn’t it past your bedtime, boy? Why don’t you go on home and let the adults play. I’m sure the little whore wouldn’t mind sticking around.” Tommy dropped the tray of shots on a nearby high-top table, rage clearly boiling in him. He let go of your hand, gearing up for a swing when you caught his wrist.
“Tommy, don’t” He look at you in utter confusion.
“This son of a bitch called you a whore. That’s not fucking okay!” he yelled, trying to shake you off. You kept a firm grip on him. You could see the smallest amount of softness return to his eyes as he sighed.
“Don’t.” you repeated. The man and his friends laughed. Tommy’s jaw clenched as he reached to pick up the tray once again, looking over his shoulder to make sure you were following him. His eyes widened in shock when he realized that you were not in fact behind him, but instead stalking toward the man who’d just been harassing you.
“Ah. See! I told you she’d be ba-” the large man stumbled backward as your fist made contact with his nose. You stretched your fingers, trying to shake the pain from your hand.
“Fuck, that hurt way more than I thought it would.” you mumbled.
“Jesus chr-” Tommy dropped the tray, his long legs taking him the few steps he needed to get to you. “Are you insane?!” he grabbed your arm, ushering you back to the green room. You snatched a shot from the tray, downing it quickly in an attempt to numb the pain in your hand.
You’d just opened the double door leading back to the green room hallway when you found yourself face to face with your brother. Tommy’s hand immediately dropped from the small of your back.
“Listen, Mick before you go all ‘crazed big brother’ on me again, don’t blame Tommy. He was just-”
Mick held up a hand, effectively silencing you. He smiled, like, actually smiled.
“Nice punch.” You stared at him, open-mouthed in shock.
“Why don’t you take that in to the boys. I’m sure they’re more than ready for a drink. He nodded toward the tray in your hand. You nodded slowly, making your way into the green room where you were rushed by a smiling Nikki who happily nicked two of the shot glasses from your tray.
“Hey, sweetheart. Do you mind? I’d get up, but...” Vince’s wicked smirk looked up from the couch, the two women draped across him making you scoff. You placed two shot glasses on the small coffee table in front of him.
You were about to hand one to your brother when you realized he wasn’t in the room....and neither was Tommy....
Since we got such a good reception from “My Brother’s in the Band” I thought I’d try out a different band member/ brother combo

You were just finishing putting the freshly washed sheets back onto the tour bus bunks when you heard the door slam, the spring-loaded closing mechanism clanking as its bent and broken pieces slammed into place.
“God damn it, we really need to get that door fixed...” you heard Nikki mumble hearing the telltale thump of his boot against the thick metal as he kicked the broken door.
“Maybe if you stopped abusing your bus you wouldn’t have that problem.” you replied, tucking the edge of the sheet under the tiny mattress. No wonder the boys preferred sleeping on the couches or even tables in the bus. These were more suited for a toddler bed rather than for four grown men.
“Hey,” Nikki pointed a finger at you threateningly but the playful glint in his eye gave him away. “It’s not my fault Tommy dared me to hang off the door while we were speeding down the highway...” his statement started off confidently but trailed off as he realized he wasn’t going to win this argument. You faced him with your arms crossed, one hip cocked to the side.
“It does kinda sound like your fault.” you smirked raising an eyebrow at the leather clad bassist in front of you. Nikki smirked, stalking toward you and throwing the laundry basket you’d been using somewhere toward the back of the bus.
“Nikki! I just washed all that shit and now it’s all over this grimy ass bus aga-” He cut you off with a searing kiss, pressing you back against the bunk.
“Well isn’t that convenient? Guess you and I will have to go back down to the hotel’s basement and do ‘laundry’ again.” He smirked, adding finger quotes for emphasis. You draped your arms over his shoulders and played with the ends of his hair, an action he claimed he hated but you knew drove him wild.
“I don’t think my brother is going to buy that excuse for very much longer.” you said, tugging him closer til you were almost nose-to-nose. “Do you think he knows? About us, I mean?” You bit your lip, pondering the statement. You had no idea how your brother would react to you sleeping with one of his bandmates. You glanced up, hoping to meet Nikki’s eyes but instead found him staring at your mouth.
“God, I love it when you do that” Nikki moaned, pulling you flush against him and backing you against the edge of the bunk. His hips ground against yours as he lifted you to wrap your legs around his waist.
“Ow! Shit!” You’d knocked the back of your head on the tiny space, sending you and Nikki into a fit of giggles.
“Fuck, sorry.” Nikki laughed turning the two of you and beginning to walk toward the front of the bus. He sat you on one of the tables, slipping one hand into the back pocket of your jeans and the other to the back of your neck, deepening the kiss. You groaned against his lips, crossing your ankles behind his back and pulling him further into you. You had just unbuttoned Nikki’s pants, hoping to take full advantage of what little time you had when the door screeched open and slammed shut, bringing in the whirlwind that was your brother.
“Fuck this fuckin’ door!” Vince shouted. “It almost knocked me on my ass again!”
You shoved Nikki away from you, wincing as he landed on the couch across from the table you were perched on and whacking his elbow on the wall. You rolled off the table and onto one of the adjoining benches, swiping the nearest magazine and shoving your hand into your hair in an attempt to mask the mussed up mess Nikki had created during your little makeout.
Vince made his way up the few stairs to the ‘living room’ as the boys called it, smiling when he saw you.
“Hey there, pain in the ass. What you up to?” He asked, flopping down on the couch next to Nikki who was rubbing his sore elbow.
“I was changing your sheets, bitch. Don’t call me a pain in the ass!”
“Don’t call me a bitch!” Vince countered. Even though you were both grown, you still bickered like children. He huffed, turning to Nikki. “How bout you, man? Thought you’d be back up in your room! We still pulling that prank on Mick tonight?”
“Y-yeah. Sure thing, dude.” Nikki shrugged, subtly grabbing a pillow to place in his lap. Apparently he’d been more ‘ready’ than you’d realized. You lifted your magazine slightly to hide the wide smile on your face as Nikki met your eyes. He suddenly looked confused and you cocked an eyebrow at him. Vince stood up and nudged Nikki’s shoulder.
“Well, I guess I’ll see you later then, man,” he sauntered back to the front of the bus.
“Yeah, I’ll be up in a bit. I have to, uh, grab some, uh, stuff...” Nikki trailed off.
“Cool!” Vince sent you a wave before walking back down the stairs. You let out a sigh of relief at the fact that you hadn’t been caught but it got stuck halfway as Vince’s head popped back over the railing.
“Oh, by the way, Y/N” a smug smirk crossed the singer’s face “Whatcha readin’ in that upside-down magazine of yours?” He wiggled his eyebrows at you, laughing as he exited the bus. You glanced down. Damn it. You dropped your forehead onto the table in front of you.
“Oh. My. God.” you moaned.
“I tried to tell you!” Nikki said, going back to rubbing his elbow.
“USE PROTECTION KIDS!!” You heard Vince call from the parking lot.
I was looking for a cheesy pickup line for one of my imagines and stumbled across a list of some of the cringey ones from the 70s so I had to turn it into a prompt list 😂
You’re once, twice, three times a lady.
Hello. Cupid called. He says to tell you that he needs my heart back.
Nice dress. Can I talk you out of it?
I hope you know CPR, baby, because you take my breath away.
Is that a mirror in your pants because I can see myself in them.
Would you mind loaning me a quarter? [What for?] I want to call my mother and tell her I just met the woman of my dreams.
I think there’s something wrong with my eyes…I can’t take them off of you.
Baby, if you were words on a page, you’d be what they call ‘FINE PRINT’!
How was heaven when you left it?
You got something on your chest: my eyes
My watch says you’re not wearing pants. [Uh, yeah I am?] Oh sorry, my watch must be 10 minutes fast.
Have you ever kissed a rabbit between the ears? [Pull your pockets inside out] Would you like to?
[Looks at the tag in her shirt] I just wanted to see if you were really made in heaven.
Those were the last words Nikki said before he climbed into his car and sped off into the night. There was no emotion on his face, no sign of sadness, anger, regret...anything. The statement came completely out of the blue, his bags packed by the door when you’d arrived home from work. It looked as though he was trying to make a clean getaway, trying to be sure he was gone before you got home... trying to avoid saying goodbye.
You stood on the balcony of your apartment building, watching his tail lights get smaller and smaller until your unshed tears blurred them out of existence. You didn’t know whether to scream, cry, or follow him and demand an explanation. You slammed the front door closed behind you, your back sliding down the wood and peeling paint until you hit the floor with a dull thud. All you wanted to do was love him, be there for him. You would’ve left everything for him, your comfort zone didn’t exist with Nikki. He was all you need... well... needed. That’s when the tears came, and you had a feeling they wouldn’t stop.
Nikki’s POV
My knuckles were white as I gripped the steering wheel, weaving in and out of the lanes of traffic as quickly as I could, trying to put as much distance between me and the damage I’d just caused. She wasn’t supposed to be home for another hour and a half. I wasn’t supposed to see the disappointment on her face. I scrubbed angrily at my cheek, the lone tear being the first crack in the wall of composure I’d so carefully built when I decided it was a good idea to leave. I loved her, I couldn’t deny that. But I also couldn’t deny that my fucked up past would eventually catch up to me. I wouldn’t put her through that... I couldn’t. She was that single ray of sunlight that broke through the dark clouds just when you thought the rain would go on forever.
I pulled over, slamming the car door shut behind me as I paced the side of the road. Cars whizzed past me, headlights and taillights blurring together. I didn’t realize I was crying until my back hit the car door, sliding down til i was seated on the damp pavement. I ran my hands through my hair, my fingertips catching on the tangles. It stung, but nothing could compare to the feeling of knowing that I’d just hurt the one person I’d ever truly loved. I got too comfortable. I was fooling myself if I thought I could have a normal life with her. I guess I got too used to being loved...

Previously: “You’re just upset, Nikki. It’s a side effect of the withdrawal. Now stop making false accusations and go the fuck to sleep!”
You weren’t sure how you wound up in a sitting position but your head was reeling from the sudden movement or maybe it was from the onslaught of unsightly images of Tommy with another woman that were flying through your brain.“Ah, but they’re not false. That’s the kicker!” you heard him chuckle, the tears starting to burn in your eyes. You knew Tommy could get a little crazy at times but he’d never cheat on you. He wouldn’t. Could he?
Your mind raced as you replayed Nikki’s words in your head. A million questions plagued you and once again you were kept from any semblance of sleep. Had Tommy really cheated on you? If he did, when did it happen? How? Did you even want to know? Nikki clearly knew, so why didn’t he tell you? You thought the two of you were close. You trusted him... you trusted Tommy...
After watching the sunlight trickle through your tiny window little by little, you gave up on trying to sleep and instead went in search of breakfast. The dining hall was surprisingly full for how early it was and you’d been hoping for the opposite. All you wanted was to eat your Cheerios and wallow in the conversation you’d had with Nikki last night. You were just about to lift the spoon to your lips when someone plopped down in the chair next to you, slinging their arm over your shoulder. You were met with a mop of blonde hair and Vince Neil’s blue eyes. You blinked slowly as you assessed the singer. Rehab seemed to be doing him a world of good. He seemed lighter, happy even.
“Hi, you.” He smiled softly, giving you a light squeeze. Snapping out of your reverie, you dropped your spoon, throwing your arms around him. Vince had treated you like a sister from the moment you met him and right now you could really use a brother.
“Hey, hey, what’s this about? Y/N?” You hadn’t realized you were crying til Vince gently pushed you away from him. You wiped your cheeks, doing your best to fake a smile.
“Just missed you is all” you tried to pass off the comment as being genuine but the concern in Vince’s eyes told you your plan hadn’t worked.
“Hey, you can tell me anything, remember?” Vince pressed. You took a shaky breath.
“It’s nothing. Nikki was talking shit about Tommy last night. Something about a blonde bitch...God, I hope he meant you.” You tried to let out a laugh but it ended up being more of a sob. Vince’s arm had gone stiff around you and you glanced up. Vince was looking away, his jaw clenched.
“Vin?”
“I’m gonna kill him.” Vince’s arm slid from your shoulder as he abruptly stood, the legs of his chair scraping against the chipping tile.
“What?! Who?!”
“Both of them!” He called over his shoulder, elbowing an orderly out of the way as he exited the dining hall.
Later that day, Doc came to visit. You’d expected him to drop in on the boys but you were surprised when the rehab center orderly informed you that you too had a visitor. Doc smiled when you sat in the chair across from him.
“Saw your boy today, Y/N. He was sporting quite a shiner. I didn’t expect him to be the one causing trouble in here. Figured it’d be Nikki.” he chuckled. You knew the sentiment was intended to brighten your mood, but you didn’t have it in you to talk about Tommy right now. You didn’t want to think about the possibility that he could’ve cheated on you.Though the prospect of Tommy’s black eye being inflicted by Vince did bring you the smallest amount of guilt. You picked at a loose thread on the arm of the chair you were sitting in, deciding to steer the conversation in a different direction.
“How’ve you been, Doc? How are things in the outside world?” You faked a bright smile, not missing Doc’s confused expression as you changed the subject.
“It’s, uh, it’s ok. We’re working things out with the label so the boys should be somewhat in the clear when they’re through here. They tell me you’re doing pretty good in here. You and Vince might even get out early!” he said with an encouraging grin. You continued pulling at the little thread, only stopping when Doc nudged you lightly.
“What’s going on with you, kid?” You took a deep breath, trying to decide whether or not you wanted to make eye contact with the father figure before you.
“I don’t-” you paused in an attempt to gather your thoughts and anchor yourself so you wouldn’t start crying. “I heard something yesterday...something I really hope isn’t true. But shit, Doc, the more I think about it, the worse it gets.” You scrubbed angrily at your cheek with the sleeve of your sweatshirt, a few tears having escaped during your little confession.
Doc shifted in his chair, clearly not wanting to press the issue but dead-set on making sure you were ok.
“You wanna talk about it?” he asked, folding his hands and resting them on his knees as he leaned toward you slightly.
“Did Tommy cheat on me?” You hadn’t realized you’d blurted it out til you glanced at Doc, who looked taken aback.
“Well I sure as hell hope not, cause if he did I’d kick his ass!” You chuckled sadly at the statement, thankful that you had someone looking out for you so far from home.
“Look, Y/N-hey! Look at me kid!” The older man gently gripped your chin as your gaze traveled out the window across from you, desperate for a reprieve from the flood of emotions threatening to spill from you.
“I want you to focus on you. I want you to through yourself into this whole rehab thing with the same amount of passion you put into telling the boys off for causing trouble. I want you to work as hard as you do when i ask you to help with the management and scheduling. I want you to be as strong as you were when you were hauling the suitcases onto the bus and wouldn’t accept anyone’s help because you you knew you were perfectly capable of doing anything you set your mind to. That little fucker, regardless of what he did or didn’t do, has no right to dictate your life or your happiness. You hear me?”
You gave him a sad smile, grateful for the tough love.
“Sir, yes, sir.” you gave him a small salute as he stood. After a much-needed hug, Doc left. Just before the door swung shut behind him, you caught a glimpse of dark hair and heard a muffled slap.
“You better get your ass in there and explain yourself!” Doc bellowed, the door swinging fully open once more and spitting out a lanky drummer with a black eye, stumbling as if he’d just been pushed. He regained his balance, shoving his hands in his pockets and slowly made his way toward you...
