Can you write another one shot fanfic about Connie's parents please? Preferably Priyanka being pregnant
Yes indeedy!!
Priyanka let out asoft grunt of discomfort, and before she knew it Doug came out of the kitchenwearing an apron and holding a spatula, standing at the ready for anything.
“Are you alright?”asked Doug, looking concerned. Priyanka chuckled seeing her husband. The longerthe pregnancy went on, the more worried Doug seemed to be.
“I’m fine, Doug. Thebaby is just kicking.” In that moment Doug’s eyes lit up and he hurried backinto the kitchen. She heard the faucet and before she could ask, Doug was backwithout spatula or apron.
Doug smiled as hekneeled down and covered Priyanka’s stomach with his hands to feel the babykick. Doug’s eyes focused on her stomach waiting for just a few seconds before feelingtheir child kick. He looked back to his wife smiling from ear to ear, his eyespractically sparkling from excitement.
He stayed for a fewminutes but his eyes went wide remembering he was making his wife brunch, hequickly stumbled to the kitchen making Priyanka chuckle as he rushed.
…
Doug threw on hisjacket, Doug had work in about a half an hour, and he’d have leave soon if hewas going to make it to work on time. He honestly didn’t want to go.
Priyanka had moved tothe chair, reclining comfortably. She read her book, humming as she placed herfree hand over her stomach.
“Are you comfortable, can I get you anything?” Doug asked, preparing himself to head out if she saidyes.
“No thank you,” shesaid with a smile.
“Are you sure?”
“I’m fine,” sheassured him. Doug smiled and gave her a kiss.
“I could always callfor someone to cover for me,” Doug said. Priyanka straightened up his shirt andjacket.
“We’ve decided thatyou wouldn’t take any more days off; you need to save up for when the babyactually gets here,” she reminded him. He pouted his lips.
“You’re right,” hesaid with a sigh. “Be careful going out, and call me when you get back so Iknow you’re home,” Doug said, very seriously. He gave her another kiss, tellingboth her and their baby that he loved them and that he would be home as soon ashe could.
Once at work he saidgoodbye to his coworker who finished his shift. He placed his bag underneaththe desk and leaned back in the chair in front of the monitors. He took a fewrounds through the building, wanting to get it out of the way so he could staynear the phone. Though he was at work he was anxiously awaiting a call from hiswife. He returned to the monitors, his eyes glancing back and forth betweenscreens.
When the phone rang he didn’t hesitate to grabit, accidentally knocking it over and grasping for it, getting a bit wrapped upin the cord.
“Doug Maheswaran, security,” he said coolly as he tried to put the rest of the machine back toits place.
“Doug, are youalright? I heard a loud bang,” he recognized the voice to be his wife and he smiledintuitively.
“Oh! Just a littleaccident, everything’s fine,” he said a bit embarrassed with himself. “How wasthe doctor’s visit?”
“Wonderful, everythingis as it should be,”
“That’s great! And theshopping? You didn’t overdo it did you?”
“I only picked up afew things, I mostly browsed around..I bought some of those sweets you like, which I expect you to eat in moderation this time,” she teased. “How’s work?”
“Same old, same old.Ready to go home,” he complained as he watched the monitors.
“Well I’m ready foryou to come home too. What time will you be off?”
“Five in the morning, FourThirty if Johnny comes in early to take over,”
“Well then I’ll seeyou when you get home,” Prinyanka said.
“Alright, get somerest, okay. I love you.”
“I love you too,”Priyanka said before hanging up the line. Doug put the phone back and glancedat the time. He sighed heavily, looking back at the security cameras. Hopefullytime would go faster now that he knew his wife was safe and back home.
Work seemed to justdrag on for Doug. Even though he was eager to get back to his wife he didn’tlet it distract him from his job. He took his rounds, spent hours watching the cameras, sketching when things were quiet.
Doug was happilysurprised when his coworker came in early. They often covered for each otherbut lately Doug really appreciated having someone to take over for him.
Doug stepped intodarkness of their home. He quietly shut the door behind him, putting his keysagainst the hall table. Doug was glad to be home. He quietly got ready for bed,not wanting to disturb his wife. After exiting the bathroom, he finally made itto bed, easing under the covers trying not to disturb her. He gave her a gentlekiss on her forehead. Her eyes fluttered open, and she smiled, pushing forwardto give him a kiss in return.
“I didn’t mean to wakeyou,” Doug said softly.
“I woke up a bitearlier and was waiting for you to get home,” she said, covering her mouth toquiet her yawning.
“You didn’t have to.”
“But I wanted to. Ihad something I wanted to tell you.”
“Well you should begetting rest. It can wait until later,” Doug assured her with a sweet smile.
“You’re not going toread one of the books?” Priyanka asked, looking to his nightstand. Doug had readthat reading, singing or talking helped reduce stress and was believed toenhance a baby’s development, and also help with bonding with the child. So heread to their child almost every night, on occasion they’d sing a lullabytogether.
Doug raised a brow.Usually when it was this late Priyanka would talk him out of reading to thebaby, not talk him into it. He eyed her suspiciously before he grabbed hisglasses, placing them back on his face.
“After all, you can’tdisappoint her now, can you?” shesaid. Doug froze for a moment replaying what she just said in his head.
“Her?” he asked. Helooked at her and she broke out in a smile nodding her head. Doug’s eyes widenwith the news. “We’re having a girl?!”
Doug let out a roar oflaughter before kissing his wife.
“We’re having a girl,”he said softly before kissing her stomach. “I thought we were going to wait tofind out?”
“Well the doctor letit slip,” she explained. “I thought you’d be disappointed finding out early.”
“Of course not! You’reboth healthy and that’s all that really matters.” Doug gave her another kiss, this one lasting a bit longer than the previous.
Once Priyanka wassettled, Doug settled in himself, cuddling with his wife, her arm draped aroundhis shoulder. Priyanka closed her eyes, her fingers gingerly running throughhis hair as he flipped through pages of his book. Doug cleared his throat and startedreading aloud for their baby girl to hear.
they’re on a date 💕
Can you do a one shot fic about Connie's parents please?
I will give it a shot!
Doug chewed the inside of his lip. He laid next to hiswife in their bed, observing her face as she read her book. It was easy for himto tell that she was still upset about her day, though he didn’t know whathappened because she hadn’t told him. The two often talked about their dayswith each other, but when he asked earlier that evening, she quickly dodged thequestion saying that she needed to do some paperwork.
Priyanka had hard days in the past. Usually when frustratedwith work she didn’t like to talk about it, not wanting to unintentionally lether frustration unleash on her husband or daughter, so instead of talking aboutit she’d bottle it up and busied herself with other things until the feelingspassed.
The problem for Doug was that Priyanka was still upsetabout her day. Doug didn’t like when Priyanka was in a foul mood at anytime, but the thought of his wife going to bed in a bad mood just didn’t sit wellwith him, and even though Priyanka usually liked to deal with her frustrationherself… Doug had to take action.
“Honey,” he said, moving a little closer to his wife, tilting his head for a better view of her face.
“Hmm?” she hummed not taking her eyes off her book.
“I think I might be coming down with something,” hesaid. She glanced over at him with a raised brow.
“What’s wrong?” she asked, marking her page and closingher book on her lap. Doug shifted slightly pretending to be uncomfortable.
“My cheeks feel a bit warm; also my stomach feels a bitknotted up.”
“When did you start having these symptoms?” she asked, putting her book on the nightstand beside her.
“Well that’s the thing…” Doug sat up a bit, lettingPriyanka do her usual fawning that she often did when either he or theirdaughter felt ill. She looked over his face for any signs of illness, her handsbrushing against his cheeks, checking for a temperature. “I seem to only havethese issues when I’m with you,” he said, a little twinkle in his eyes.
Priyanka looked confused for a short moment before hereyes narrowed at him and her lips twitched up into an amused yet annoyed smile.Symptoms such as those were common when you had a crush.
“Doug,” she started, most likely about to scold her husbandfor joking about not feeling well, but Doug quickly continued before she couldgo on.
“And sometimes my heart skips a beat when I see you, orsometimes my heart will even start racing when I’m around you. It feels as ifmy heart might jump out of my chest!”
“Well now you’re just being dramatic,” she said. Shewas just about to move away back into her original spot, reaching out for herbook, but he quickly wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close tohim, making her snicker. She tilted her head to the side to look at herhusband.
“Give it to me straight, doctor. Is there a cure?” heasked, placing his chin on her shoulder and waiting for her response.
“You’re impossible,” she laughed, relaxing in his arms.He smiled and kissed her shoulder.
“You didn’t tell me about your day,” Doug said.Priyanka let out a heavy sigh. She moved slightly, getting more comfortable inher husband’s embrace.
“Do you remember that new nurse I told you about?”
“Yeah, you said he was a sweet kid but could be a bitclumsy.”
“A bit was anunderstatement. The mess he made today… Not only that but the apologizing, overand over. I could’ve snapped on him.”
“You’re not supposed to bring work home with you,” Dougsaid.
“I know. It’s just that work can be so,” her bodytensed and she let out a low growl. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
“Feel better?”
“I do,” Priyanka said, leaning her head back andlooking at her husband.
“So, is there a cure for me or not?” Doug said with acrooked grin. Priyanka returned the smile, shaking her head slowly at Doug’ssilliness.
“Perhaps a kiss,” Priyanka offered.
“Just one?!” Doug looked as if he couldn’t believe whathe had just heard, but he didn’t dwell on it. He moved forward, awaiting hiskiss. She smiled at him before her fingers gingerly brushed against his jaw, tilting his head up, her lips meeting his for a passionate kiss.
Priyanka pulled away, her husband smiling brightly ather. His eyes held a playful glint, one that Priyanka was much too familiarwith.
“One more,” Doug said quickly before giving her anotherkiss, and another, and another…
“Doug,” she warned. Doug ignored her and continued tokiss her. “I said one!”
“If you don’t like my kisses, just say so,” Doug said.Priyanka tried her best to keep from smiling; trying to hide the fact she verymuch liked her husband’s kisses. He continued to kiss her over and over again, one landing under her ear, a spot that usually made her quite squirmish.Priyanka let out a snort, a laugh that she didn’t like others hear. Doug smiledto himself, not ending his kissing spree. With another laugh from his wife,Doug knew that his duty as her husband was accomplished. Priyanka wasn’t goingto bed in a sour mood tonight that was for sure.
Ok this was probably a way to shorten “Priyanka” but new headcanon: Doug calls her Priya (or Pri) for short Idk /melts
