Zeke McCanless is back at Dover! After spending the last 3 years as a philosopher/dish washer, he is back to express his true talent: maiolica surface design. Zeke has been busy too. We have several of his new pieces in the shop, with more to come. All his work is hand painted, free-hand with calligraphy brushes (crazy, I know). So to celebrate his return, we are having a sale. It's out with the old and in with the new! We have to make room for all the new work, so select items will be 15%, 25%, and 50% off. There will be lots of Zeke's earlier work featured in this sale, as well as wood fired, salt glazed pieces by Dover alums Joe Cole, Julie Jones, and Eck McCanless. The sale will last until September. It was a beautiful day at Dover. One of the first cool days we've had in a long time. Mom and I unloaded and re-loaded the kiln in the morning then we decorated dinnerware with the windows open, listening to Faust IV all afternoon. Steve has been working on a Raku kiln. Soon we'll have lots of lusters to usher in the changing leaves of fall. Tomorrow, more of the same! Keeping busy!
