Another pair that should be bisque fired by now. I couldn’t arch them as deep as the first pair but they’ll still be a vibe glazed in glossy black licorice.

I visited Not Another Pottery Studio (NAPS) during the community event. You could make a clay charm or get a lesson on the wheel to make a bowl – all complimentary (but if you wanted them to fire what you made and glaze it, there was a fee). It was super busy at the time. I signed up and planned to come back but didn’t have time to visit again, but I did pick out a nice bowl from the table of unclaimed pottery pieces (these pieces were free).

The studio was attractive, offering different types of clay, glazes, and tools for use, as well as classes, workshops, and memberships. A few pieces of finished pottery (made by members?) were displayed. There was a members’ only area towards the back.

The staff members were welcoming and patient. They have quarterly community days where you can come in and make something for free. You can also rent the space.

They’re trying to create a supportive community to promote creativity.

shoutout to the amount of fucking hair I seem to pick up at the local pottery studio. on the sponges, in the reclaim bin, by the bisqueware like WHERE is all this coming from???
