Q. Girl: I would say you're reluctance to address homosexuals as well as their civil rights is quite detrimental to their mental health.

Bob Katter: I'm quite happy to address that issue at any time anyone brings it to me right. I have an electorate where suicide between Longridge and the Gold coast every week in the cattle section large first Australian communities where it is absolutely endemic and if you're saying whats your priorities well the priorities that I got are the people who are confronting me and quite rightly confronting me and if thats the problem that I have to deal with, you have problems that you have to deal with in your life and if I can assist you in anyway I'm quite happy to do that.

Josh Thomas: I believe the issue right is not that it isn't a priority, but you talk about it quite a bit and when you do talk about it you say...awful things. Um (laughter) and thats the problem. So...if you, if you, if you, if you're going to go out there as an elective member of Parliament and deny the existence of homosexuals for your electorate, which is kooky, um (laughter) adorable, but kooky. Of course people are going to get upset and wha, what worries me is I hear you talking like this and I spent the day googling you and you're adorable, um, is you say a lot of really important, powerful things, right, like, what you said tonight I hear it and I think this is a guy that cares and it is really important and when I hear you talk about dairy farmers and I agree that people in the city should spend more than three dollars on milk I agree with you but then when you go out and you deny the existence of homosexuals in north Queensland, they existence, there is an app called grindr I'll put it on your phone (laughter) you, you, you, you disenfranchise the community and I-I- spoke earlier about guys and being afraid of uh talking about their feelings and afraid of being feminine, afraid of being gay really, and that is all tied to the kind of homophobic talk you get all through society if you are trying to talk about mental health and one hand saying this is very important but they don't matter the community just falls apart.

Bob Katter:Ugh, I know. I most certainly have been guilty of cracking jokes upon myself, upon just about everyone-

Josh: I don't think its a joke- I don't think he was joking- I don't believe you were joking

Bob Katter: Everybody. I am not- I am not- in the last ten years and Josh, lets try to be careful about the truth here, in the last seven years, I'm trying to go to my memory bank, I defy you to find a single statement I have made in that period of time on this issue I hiuefjgvet- I've had my head bashed up by young ladies, by people like this and I say righto, fair call,

Host: Bob. It's nice, it's nice to hear that you've made, you've involved in some way, hang on for one second, but if it wasn't only people like Josh, it was your own half brother who came out and said, accused you of making dangerous and hurtful statements about homosexual people

Josh: Hang on a minute. You have an ad you can still see it on youtube about how the Australia party believes homosexuals are evil, that they don't exist, for you then to come around and say you haven't said homophobic things is just ridiculous, all you need to do, all you need to do, she asked the question, you know what I've said some stuff in the past it was a mistake I understand now it's hurting people's mental health its part of the problem not the solution, I'm sorry hooray to gay people, heres some glitter.
