“Business As Usual” at the Ministry of Magic

Thursday, 12 April, 1976

Just last month, a gathering of over 500 protestors flooded the Ministry of Magic’s Atrium, resulting in a shutdown that lasted around six days. 

After rumors of plans to riot and destruction of public property, Minister Minchum ordered Aurors and Hit Wizards to escort all protestors off the premises. The Ministry has since reopened, and it’s “business as usual,” Rodolphus Lestrange, the Special Advisor of Security for the Minister, commented.

Many wonder if another protest will occur, and what plans the Ministry has to prevent future demonstrations from escalating to the degree they did last month. There is also speculation whether the rumors of riot were part of the Ministry’s plan to end the demonstration. 

The Minister has not released further comment, leaving the public only to speculate further.
