I appreciate the sentiment, but no I'm not going to make a tiktok. I also don't approve anyone making one on my behalf. I much prefer posting about this project in actual text+picture format, not any kind of videos.

Are you making a Bellossom? Or a Lilligant? (Since those are the only two i can think of that have multiple leaves and flowers)

Nope it’s this very fat but small plant toad

I’m still not satisfied with how either one looks but I also don’t feel up to starting a third round of edits for this pattern 😭 

What I want to do is make the head more distinct from the body, even though I know that toads’ heads and bodies are kind of the same blob. Also the back legs are hard to pose juuust right. 

Venusaur is one of the Pokemon that so many people have crocheted, often in a typical chibi style. Even though I try to avoid simplifying Pokemon into basic chibis in favor of emulating what they look like in game/anime, I can’t help but feel that my Venusaur look off.

That’s a good question, the answer to which I do not know! I want to say it was... Pokemon Diamond?

Do you knit with one hoock or two?

I crochet with one hook! I don’t knit, but from my understanding knitting is two needles, crocheting is one hook.

You should get/make a little bag to keep them all in! I made one and I haven’t lost any since

No I mean like I take them out of their bag so I can use them, and then put the bag down in its spot and my brain forgot where I just placed the eyes I just took out. Or with my hook it’s when I put it down to fetch something else and I come back and where is it? im so sure i put it right there did the duwende take it again-

Whoa wait you seriously can't sell Pokemon fanart? Also, don't leave out my favorite: water puppy with frilly cheeks!

Well, The Pokemon Company’s official policy regarding fanart is basically “Don’t do it” but they can’t exactly stop each and every single person from not selling anything Pokemon-based Pokemon-inspired works of art. There have been a few times where they issue cease-and-desist letters to specific people/groups over it (like with Pixelmon the Minecraft mod) and a few when they’ve sued (they sued RedBubble back in like 2016 but I’m not really sure how that went since RedBubble’s still, like, Existing)

I could probably sell my crochets and be fine, but I am a person-shaped ball of paranoia. 🙃

It’s so hard to crochet tiny things. Good job! And take care not to strain your eyes too much.

I’ve had this in my drafts for a while (although maybe it’s only been a week? time’s wonky) and I really appreciate comments like this that show you care. They really make my day! Also this comment specifically inspired me to make a jumbooo Magikarp instead of something itty bitty again!
