Still Moving. The film shows movement and stillness in different urban landscapes. This is displayed through the journey into places of work and living. A barrier separates the two places conveyed in the film. A variety of filmmaking and sketches give a sense of the sight. Details and events are integral in communicating the sense of dwelling in each section. Use of audio samples emphasizes visual representations. An attempt to relay emotion is made through editing and timings. Motion is depicted in an industrial area, with stillness shown in a residential zone. To reinforce the idea of separation between paces, a physical barrier is recognized.

Crossing Thresholds. Bute Town's rich industrial history resulted in the need for more efficient transport systems over time which has had an impact on the landscape. Our experiences were of a disjointed community; an area of segregation , closed gates , obstructions and blockages . Some of these were necessary through reuse of the land for development, however, we experienced environments that were stilted and didn't flow. Our observations led us to conclude that new developments have to be sympathetic to their existing landscape. It is important that places retain a sense of flow whilst maintaining a sense of history.
