who's your fav dps character??
PITTSIE!!! 🥰🥰🥰
He's so adorable and super underrated in my opinion, I love his scenes and I think he deserved more screentime. I love his friendship with Meeks and his adorable nerd vibe, he's just such so pure

11 and 14 for the DPS ask thing!

17!!
thanks for the ask <3(:
17. do you blame mr. perry or mr. keating for neil?
i 110% blame mr. perry. just because mr. perry failed to see/made it his number one mission to stifle neil's potential and pure talent doesn't mean mr. keating should be blamed for allowing/inspiring neil to realize how talented and amazing he was. yes, mr. keating's classes were a source of inspiration to neil, and being a young person with a not-fully-developed brain, he took the lessons to their extreme, but still. i feel like parents can fail to understand the detriment they can do to their kids when they try to live vicariously through them. neil's father may have claimed to have had neil's "best interest" in mind, but only for his own gain/dreams he never got to live out. a lot of their relationship seems to be mr. perry projecting his failures/lack of opportunity onto neil tbh
1 and 18 :)
Thank you so much for the ask! :)
1.) Where did you hear about dead poets society?
- So this one's kind of sad. When Robin Williams passed away, I watched a tribute of people standing on their desks and saying O Captain, My Captain. I've wanted to watch the movie it was from (dps lol) since then. It took me a few years (4) to get access to it, but I finally did and it was even better than I could've imagined
18.) Do you think Cameron deserved to get punched by Charlie?
- Short answer? No
- Long answer? I understand why Charlie punched him, but I still don't think Cameron deserved it. What happened (in my opinion) was a bunch of emotionally devastated teenage boys having their emotions boil over in light of a tragedy. Personally, I think that Charlie would've punched any of the boys if they said anything "wrong," Cameron was just the first to do it. Cameron and Charlie were both trying to process what happened, and they did so differently

7 - i haven’t really thought about how the movie inspired me hmmm. i mean i think for me, being very similar to sir cameron, it’s an example of what could happen if i stay on a path of rigidity and it gives me a reason to be a bit more out of the box. it’s still a long road for me to take but i’m slowly getting better.
12 - my ap lang teacher! she was definitely a little harsh but really sweet once you get to know her. i really miss her cause im no longer in high school and am no longer in her classes but she was a really cool teacher and although a lot of people didn’t like her cause of her harshness, i just found it very endearing cause i know she cared.
19 - i finally get to go to live on campus for college next year so i’m excited for that aspect of the movie. as for a secret society, it sounds really fun but i’m not sure if i’m smart enough to dissect poetry or write my own poems for that matter. in conclusion, i like the idea but idk if id be able to execute it well.
8, 16 ?(:
8 - oh it definitely made me cry. neils relationship with his father reminded me of my dad and it was just a little too close to home.
16 - i find it pretty uncomfortable but i know it was an important scene to show charlie’s character. no matter how much he tries to be shoved into a box, he’s extremely strong willed and marches to the beat of his own drum.
4 and 17
4 - my favorite character is unironically richard cameron. like this is a cameron stan page through and through.
17 - i blame mr. perry all the way. he suppressed his son so much that when neil was finally able to express who he truly is, mr. perry completely crushed him. an already depressed and suicidal teen was pushed to his breaking point because his father took away one of the only things that made him feel alive.
