Okay, so, "Ultimate Pop Sensation" probably ain't the best translation.
Y'see, pop stars in America are usually just expected to have some members of the band singing, and some perform live accompaniment.
Idols dance as they sing. They have choreography for each song, and usually change costumes to match their songs.
Here's a more proper example of what Sayaka would be doing. That is a direct link to one point in a two hour idol concert. Seriously, they're like skipping around and dancing and changing costumes for hours in front of a football stadium of fans.
So, TLDR; idols are meta as fuck.
Also, in the part of the video I linked, the one in the blue dress is Hiyoko's voice actress!
