A child me cried at this scene. After a series of fake outs in X and the amazing writing Zero series had, this was it. Zero finally died.

And in death he achieved Dr Lights dream. Something X never could, something Wily didnt make Zero to fulfill.

The great ending to Wily and Lights conflict is that Reploids (being based on X) caused great harm unintentionally while Zero, the originator of the maverick virus and Willy magnum opus, ultimately brought peace between man and machine.
