Something odd I’ve noticed. 

There’s this particular bit of concept art from Sonic Rivals I keep going back to, one that inexplicably has a bunch of human figures drawn alongside an enemy that actually appears in the game... as well as what looks like a shit golem...

 So yeah, it’s a weird bit of concept art, but what really gets my attention is this guy-

I have come to dub him “Glasses McEmo Hair”. He stands out to me, because honest to god? His design looks up a modernization of THIS guy-

Dr. Brandon Quark, Robotnik’s one time rival from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Now obviously, there is absolutely no way in hell that’s the case. But I still get a kick of the fact that this bit of concept art really does look like some kind of redesign of the guy. 

I really do love the weird and unexpected ways different parts of this franchise resemble eachother without ever realizing it.

I assume that if a char doesn't have wings separate from their arms, they can't fly innately. With exceptions of course (Pred, Tekno, a decent % of the Yagyu bats, Cpt. Rescue, Amy for that brief period of time (Hey, she had invisibility in '06, so why not her Archie flight too? say magic dabbling did it), and a few others that fail to come to mind. I just like the idea of it as a really rare bird trait that maybe you get, maybe not (Or get via science/magic/whatever too, I guess)

I assume (and hc) that Quark can't fly and it was a gag more than anything (cuz AoSTH), but it did happen on-screen, so pyp on that.
