So yeah we finally got to see
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
(Doctor Strange 2) This past Tuesday everyone
who wanted to go their schedules synced up
so we finally went.
I had been waiting to go see this for a while
as for any collectables there wasn't any at the
theater which was a bit of a disappointment
being this is a big huge movie
I thought there would be something but
there wasn't.
Warning! Contains Spoilers
anyway as for the movie itself I personally
thought it was pretty great, I enjoyed it.
I thought there was some nice humor
in there lots of really nice action
and amazing visuals.
I think my only real complaint is I wish it was a
lil bit longer being it moves by pretty quickly
its as they say a thrill ride there is a great
action set up at the first and then its kinda
slow for a bit then it picks up and goes!
like hold on to your seat type of thing.
Also I wish there was more multiversity
like what we got was cool but it does
kinda leave you wanting more.
I thought everyone was pretty amazing in
this I still think Benedict Cumberbatch
is still a great Doctor Strange
and do still think that he and
Benedict Wong as Wong still make a
perfect duo and they play well off
together.
I'd have to say I did like
Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez
I had no problem with her as that
character or in this movie I thought
she did a great job but from what I seen
ppl are treating her like the second
coming of Rose Tico its like totally
insane.
Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo
Rachel McAdams as Dr. Christine Palmer
were wonderful too it was funny to
see the alternate "super nice" Mordo
and I believe Elizabeth Olsen's Darkhold
possessed Scarlet Witch was amazing
and I have to say in alot of scenes she
really stole the show! Also she
was a great villain for this and a kinda
worthy one for Doctor Strange and crew
and I feel that Wanda's story lead to
this turn where she suffered so much
loss and pain that she would do anything
to get what she lost back bring her
into conflict with Dr.Strange being
she is a ally who has become and enemy
where Strange is painted as the possible
threat it is her who is the one who
truly threatens the Multiverse.
Now not only were all the returning
cast great but all the cameos and
references were amazing!
fist the some what monster from
the very first of the movie I was
looking at it and the face on it
I was thinking "Is that Sleepwalker??
is it suppose to be Sleepwalker?"
because like I said the face looked
like his face it wasn't green but it
looked like him!?!
and then later on they were talking about
the magical act of "Sleepwalking" and
I was like it must have been him..?
also loved the appearance of a
live action Captain Carter played
of course by Hayley Atwell
and Patrick Stewart coming back as
as Professor Charles Xavier
as well as Anson Mount as Black Bolt
once again.
and of course John Krasinski
as Reed Richards I'd have to say
I really liked him in this role
as lil of the character we did see
and would like to see more of him
as Reed and possibly in the
Fantastic Four movie and see how
he works out with the rest of the team
and yes it wouldn't be a Sam Raimi
movie with out Bruce Campbell
as Pizza Poppa
Now like I said the visuals were
great the fight with
Gargantos (aka Shuma-Gorath) was
really cool and the various
multiversal effects were great too
The Zombie Strange was both neat and
funny at the same time and when I
first seen him in the trailers I
thought they went to one of the worlds
that were infested by the actual
Marvel Zombies but they didn't
this Zombie is created though
different means. I thought
The Knights of Wundagore were awesome
and I love that they made a MCU appearance
The "musical battle" that takes place
near the end of the movie was something
that was very unique and different but
interesting.
Now I'm aware of the apparent controversy
were some how ppl got it into their
minds that this was suppose to be a direct
sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home which
it wasn't and instead focused more on the
aftermath of WandaVision which apparently
pissed alot of people off and there
was complaints of the movie being a
"bait & switch". Now personally
I didn't feel like there was any
"bait & switch" going on I never
hear anyone from Marvel or read anything
saying that this was going to be
a direct sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home
the trailers didn't make me think that
nothing made me think that.
I always heard and read that the
events/outcome of WandaVision would
heavily influence Doctor Strange 2
which it did so I didn't didn't feel
disappointed or any type of
"bait & switch"
also if this was a direct sequel
wouldn't it be called
Spider-Man in the Multiverse of Madness?
not Doctor Strange?
anyway in the end I thought it was great
I enjoyed it. I thought everything thing
in the movie was amazing and I pretty
much only had the 2 lil complaints I
already mentioned other then that
I thought it was fun and different
and a lil frighting at times lol
so I would say it definitely worth
the watch to go with the rest of
the MCU
also don't forget there is 2
credits scenes one Mid and one
at the end.
