*puts on tinfoil hat* *unravels whiteboard* sit your cute ass down and grab a cola and popcorn because i have a Theory^tm . you know how some drivers/team believe the 'dts curse'? where if the dts crew is filming your team for the weekend anything or everything will always go wrong.

i dont have concrete examples at the moment but i think there was a rumor that the netflix crew was following AT during the mexico weekend and on that sunday danny crashed into yuki and yuki dnfed. and i think i saw some article from 2020?? or 21?? that toto was like 'we hope tht we can avoid the netflix curse' on AD20 because netflix was filming them that weekend

SOOO basically if netflix takes an interest in you... your weekend is fucked. and you know who netflix loves?? Daniel ricciardo. i mean come on that man has the personality of prime television character and the first driver we met in drive to survive was danny. he gave soo many interview drive to survive is basically Daniel Ricciardo's Autobiography.

with this laid out i have two theories.

one, since daniel is basically the face of dts, he has the dts forever curse. he can never get rid of the netflix curse and his life will slowly go downhill until he finally retires from f1.

or two, my favorite, is that since everyone loves him so much and want more daniel ricciardo screen time, the dts director has an idea to make daniel like the 'main character of the whole franchise'. and they cant have the main character have a boring normal life/career, so he, danny, and horner strike up a deal that will let netflix play with daniel's career for at most 5 years and in return redbull wont be evil edited and danny will return to redbull after the contract ends.

its been almost 5 years since the beginning of dts daniel is finally coming home and to add to that netflix can make a whole big episode on how daniel ricciardo is the prodigal son^tm and hes coming home #DR3ack
