After.. whatever tf yesterday was (trying to make each other cry ig?) I needed something lighter so I came up with some silly Johnlock stuff for you :)

Imagine they end up in some stupid bet about who can make the other more flustered at work. Sherlock is fucking COMMITTED to winning this bet, and he spends the whole day slipping less-than-work-appropriate comments into his deductions so that every conversation sounds something like: "well, it's clear from the worn spot on the pocket of the victim's shirt that they usually have something clipped there, likely an ID badge, and I also observed that John spent approximately 30% longer than usual brushing his teeth this morning which indicates that he probably intends to make out with me once we get home, so let's try to wrap this up soon, alright? Now if you'll look at the glasses that were found next to the body you'll see that-"

The next day, Sherlock is in the middle of an experiment in the kitchen when they get an urgent call, so he's a bit distracted as they're leaving the flat and John takes the opportunity to grab something from the bottom drawer of his dresser before heading out. They reach the crime scene and Sherlock starts rattling off his observations, when he hears a soft jingle and turns around. He immediately forgets what he was saying mid-sentence when he sees John "subtly" pulling out his dog tags from where they were tucked under his shirt. There is an uncomfortably long silence before someone else gets Sherlock's attention with an awkward throat-clearing, and he fumbles to remember what the hell he was just doing. He spends the next few minutes slightly red-faced while John bites back a grin, smug and just a little surprised about how effective that was.

And the whole time, poor Greg is just trying to do his job but now he's stuck watching these two idiots flirt with each other like
