Now that some characters were revealed I will start working on the chapter 0 main poster to sort things out.

Sharing some random old art

When I only started drawing on PC I barely knew how to do that properly but since it was (is) the laptop I still had some kind of knowledge (I only knew how to draw on my phone)

I've been messing with the drawing program and literally didn't know how to do a proper outline that I normally do. So instead of figuring out at the moment I decided to try the style without an outline.

This was 2023 (!) and yeh, since that I had a lot of practice. What I wanted to share is the art that I was doing in that time and tell some lore behind it.

The art I will share are MAINLY with Midnight Sans and a few other characters.

YES. Eclipse (the orange eye guy) was supposed to be a Sans as the very first idea but I eventually changed it in a process of development.

As for the image itself, this was the first attempt on the actual background (on PC) and basically first attempt at literally everything else too.

After taking notes on what I did right or wrong I decided to experiment further with the drawing tools I had. And eventually, somehow, I got THIS MASTERPIECE! (this is like literally the second art I did after moving to drawing on PC how did I do that)

As you probably guessed (or not guessed) this is Midnight. And, unlike Eclipse, he barely changed from his first design. The only thing noticeably changed is the star-like things removed from the top of his robe plus maybe the moon necklace because I didn't know how to draw it properly at the moment.

Another art with Midnight, this time it's him capturing a soul.

Now that I look at it I think that the coloring of his clothing was made like this specifically because of the style because I didn't know how to do gradient + doing everything the same color wouldn't look as good. But I stayed with this multi-layer coloring (although simplified) because I liked them. And yes, the colors ARE separated each and it's not gradient.

An attempt on making the fell version of Midnight. Yeah, that didn't go well, the design is literally jist a recolor with different boots.

BUT! The art inspired me to give Eclipse boots instead (which he still does have in his design) so that's something.

The art where I first got an idea to make Ruins yellow/brown-ish instead of normal purple. Also in this image I forgot to add the star-things and that made me realize that he looks fine without those too. Only after a bit more I decided to completely remove them (not at this point of time yet)

An art with Midnight and a Sans version of Eclipse. Here I started experimenting with the shape of the necklaces. I was doing other versions of it too but eventually decided to stick with this one (you can literally see it in the most recent arts of Midnight)

If you are interested I could dig for more arts of this version of Eclipse and talk about how it got to the current version.

An attempt at making a GIF. Literally two frames to make a blinking animation. Not much to say about it.

Old character sheet that I made for Midnight. Though it did quickly became irrelevant because of me removing the white starry dots from the design because it looks out of place in the sprite version and also was a bit hard to draw on paper (and also as I said I like it starless more)

The last art I did in the style without the outline (or at least the last one in the Midnight section)

As a reference for the corridor I used the background from the very first art but with the changed color scheme. Also Sans here starts using dark magic more properly in art (before that I didn't even try to picture it)

As an extra here is th efirst attempt at drawing with an actual lineart. Did that only because it was easier for me to force-learn drawing in my current style than learn how to draw Papyrus lineless.

I probably have some more art scattered across the files but I think I shared the main ones and there is nothing else to see.

Finally completed a youtube banner for my main youtube channel (the place where official series are being uploaded at)

For Undyne, Alphys, Mettaton, Asgore and Assriel the background will be added through the progress because each background is their represented area/effect.

Sharing it here because it is still art, after all.

Some actual Eclipse lore? No idea how long it will take but I do have a basic idea of the story already in mind. The only problem is obviously finding time to visualize it.

Also yeah, "Northernlight" is another one of my very random sub-ideas and it is alctually related to Undernight. So it's not an "entirely new AU" but more like a continuation of what I already have.

I guess I'll go change/add some tags to the few previous posts I have with characters from here.

A Friend inside them.

Anyways-

The next page will actually take a while to make because I do need to think of how to transition this page ending to the next scene. Or I could just randomly think of it in a few days, I honestly have no idea.

This version of a comic is fully made in sketches for faster progress and should eventually be made into a full images.

I am dropping only 1-2 arts for pride month because of me focusing on a more important stuff.

Eclipse is actually agender (genderless). I had it as a cannon the whole time, I just didn't know the word (I'm still learning- )

Same goes for Northernlight Eclipse, the only difference between them and him are the pronouns.

Also an attempt at making a semi-background instead of leaving it completely empty.
