More of a headcanon honestly (thanks megatorchicchic) But I think Marvin is really a magician, great even. But he doesn't believe in magic! So this either means he can't do magic because of that Or (more badass) He does the craziest stuff and is like "nah, that's not magic; magic is something unnatural, impossible. This was always my normal."

What was the line for caustic they took out of the game? I just read your post about it and have no clue what it is about

Okay so I’ve never heard him say it [personally because I rarely play as Crypto and never play as Caustic, but from what people have said, Caustic calls Crypto a “gutter rat” (or some variant of rat, I can’t remember what people said it was). People have been using “rat” as a slur against Asian people since WWII, and the writers didn’t realize it was that serious (in fairness to them, neither did I? I learned something new from this whole affair as well), hence the reason they’re having it removed. It’s going to be a slow process apparently, so there’s a chance you’ll hear it before they excise it completely.
