Some facts about The King's Guards, a book I'm writing, under the cut
So, you want to know more about The King's Guards?
The plot: In a fantastical society live the winged folk. There are three types of them: the insect-winged, the bat-winged and the bird-winged, with the latter having a low status and being discriminated against. When Lucas, a young bird-winged, meets Quinn the fae and Leo the human, the three get tangled up in a rebellion to change the system once and for all.
The characters
Lucas (15, he/him)
Lucas is a bird-winged who dreams of freeing his people. He his rather timid, but smart, idealistic, and not afraid to stand up for himself. He also tends to overthink and get lost in his thoughts. A great cook, but terrible at reading peoples intentions.
Quinn (22, she/her)
Quinn is a skilled warrior, but hates nothing more than having to fight. She has been imprisoned on charges of treason and wishes nothing more than to find her sister again. She's compassionate and intelligent, but often forgets to take care of herself, too.
Leo (17, they/them)
Leo is a pirate- or at least, they're trying to be. But their bad luck keeps getting them thrown off of ships and they're close to giving up when they meet Lucas and Quinn. They always appear cheerful and love to make jokes, not allowing themselves to truly show their emotions.
Have anyone ever seen those stupid AI pictures where a wolf or a fox or whatever wild animal walks into this specific pet store and they just curl up on the dog bed? It made me think of how the concept it cute, but I dislike how it's fake so here it is as art instead of AI and with turtles.
You don't even need to study for the Rorschach test, btw, it's super easy. All they do is show you a bunch of stupid pictures of your dad getting eaten by a horse
Made this post about 15 minutes after the repair guy who fixed the pump on my dishwasher packed up his tools and left, as the dishwasher was whirring along doing my dishes from that morning.
He said the exact same thing, which I did not know before that, so spreading this knowledge.
