It was Draft time for the #COTI15 earlier on Twitter! For everyone who missed the craziness, here's some play by play and the results. Round one was, for the most part, captains picking their regular tag partners. Those who didn't have partners eligible for the draft had to get a little creative, in particular Ophidian, who chose to start his team with a very bold choice. Defying the convention was Jakob Hammermeier, who chose not to draft his BDK minions in the first round. Juan Francisco de Coronado also began a draft-wide bit where he'd take FOREVER to declare his choice, leading to a lot of annoyed people slinging insults his way. Max Smashmaster: Blaster McMassive Dasher Hatfield: Mr. Touchdown UltraMantis Black: Kodama (citing that he had impressed him) Chuck Taylor: Drew Gulak Hallowicked: Frightmare Jakob Hammermeier: Soldier Ant Amasis: Fire Ant Ophidian: Eddie Kingston (honestly thought he'd be the last drafted, if not left in the cold) Juan Francisco de Coronado: Mr. Azerbaijan Princess Kimberlee: Jervis Cottonbelly Round two was where things started kicking off. Twitter wars erupted, rash choices were made, Quack forgot how to count leading to Jakob throwing a fit, and people were starting to become genuinely concerned for Sidney Bakabella after one particular draft choice. Max: Obariyon (purely to screw over Mantis) Dasher: Icarus (who camped Twitter the whole time and got into it with Kingston) Mantis: Flex Rumblecrunch (screwing returned! Bakabella went ballistic!) Taylor: Orange Cassidy (and we all saw where that was going) Hallowicked: Silver Ant (the shock pick of the round) Jakob: Nøkken Amasis: Worker Ant Ophidian: Shynron de Coronado: Prakash Sabar Kimberlee: El Hijo del Ice Cream (purely to get him to stop crying...poor Hijo) Things seemed to settle down in the third round, though some curveballs were still thrown. Max: Oleg ("I guess". Bakabella's likely already chewed him out over it) Dasher: Heidi Lovelace Mantis: Jaka (screwing over Bakabella again!) Taylor: The Swamp Monster Hallowicked: Blind Rage Jakob: Pinkie Sanchez Amasis: Ashley Remington (amazing he wasn't picked 'til then) Ophidian: Argus de Coronado: The Proletariat Boar of Moldova Kimberlee: Ice Cream Jr. (after Hijo asked her to) As a 48 hour window has been allowed for trades, there is a high possibility that changes will be made. It's already expected that something will be worked out between Mantis and Bakabella concerning Rumblecrunch and Obariyon, with a possibility of a Jaka and Oleg switch as well. Undrafted: 3.0, the Colony: Xtreme Force, N_R_G, Kevin Condron, the Snow Troll, and Volgar.

These are the most current draft results for a 12 Team H2H points based CBSSports.com league. The draft was conducted on Wednesday July 11th, 2012.

Before we get to the picks, a quick explanation of our league. There is a premium placed on hitters, as it is a weekly lineup league where we only use 3 SP per week, and 2 RP. The RP must be a closer. That should help explain why you will see premium starters like Verlander and Halladay going late in the draft.

And each team was allowed 2 keepers from the first half to the second half. Robinson Cano wasn’t the first pick in the draft, he just happened to be one of the keepers for that particular team. The actual draft picks started coming off the board in round 3.

The rest of the crazy picks you see were intersting to say the least, but this is a real money league, and all owners were responsible for their own picks, so if Carlos Ruiz in the third round ends up working out for the Pai Gow Busters… more power to him.
