The business of sparks is tricky and the business to dealing with Draglock, is even trickier. But what happens when both things intertwine? Well, it is simple. The spark most Cybertronians have, Draglock does not. Its his downfall, the thing that would have most Cybertronians automatically ignoring his existence as a mech and viewing him as nothing more than a drone, something who's possible sentience is not to be cherished. Much like with the ordeal pertaining to Afterburn.
Draglock would be simply overlooked, a modded Diagnostic Drone who'd been left in charge where a real bot should be. There may or may not be speculation that Draglock, is, indeed aware of his own peculiar circumstances. But its a secret that he will keep as long as he can manage.
It is also because his lack of spark that Draglock is unable to spark merge, or bond. He can, however, if it came to push and shove, take in a spark or a fragment into his own frame for safe keeping. He will never be able to experiene first hand the joys and pains a bond could bring. All he'll ever have to look forwards to is the physical aspects. Ones the mech seeks out, intentions hidden behind the slab of words.
Or at least, until his secret is revealed. How others will view him will vary. Perhaps some may overlooked the lack of spark as a sign that sentience can come to those outside of the standards, or perhaps, They'll regard him as nothing more than a drone, not a real Cybertronian.
