Started my Daily Dragon Diary!

…and this is the progress so far! This is a dragon grimoire intended to share publicly as my others I can barely share because the dragons tell me not to. That’s just how working with dragons goes.

I share my in depth personal practice with my grimoires on the Scalebound Secrets tier of my Patreon and mini daily updates in The Hatchling Clan Dragon Discord but also share video updates on my TikTok and Instagram stories! I’ve decided to do blog updates here as well on Tumblr with some notes about why this practice is so important to me and my dragons.

Ever since I was 3-5 years old I’ve been drawing dragons and journaling about them even if just gluing my favorite dragon pictures or stickers into a book or binder. Ever since I could remember this has been the best way for me to connect with them as visually seeing the dragons within the pages reminded me the dragons would always be there no matter what I was going through in life.

Before I knew the word Dragonkin I always felt like the dragons were my true family. Some people may choose to worship the dragons which is beautiful and I have too long ago but one thing has never changed: my dragon soul was always calling me home since I was a baby girl and I’m not the only one who has always felt like a dragon in their human skin.

The Draconic Path for me began in the Colorado Rockies and reservoir where I first encountered the dragons and this is where I began strengthening my bonds with them. I used to go camping in the Rockies all the time as a toddler and little kid before I moved to Hollywood California but the dragons never left me.

This daily dragon diary exercise is to share the joy of crafting with dragons and in honor of them as a way to better connect with them on The Draconic Path as well as document our dedication to them throughout our life’s journey.

It doesn’t have to be an art project like mine either. Simple journal entries are just as valuable to have over time to track our progress with the dragons and how we grow along the way.

Where I’m at in my life right now is complicated and terrifying. I am more in the broom closet now than I ever have been before. I hope by the end of this year I’ll be free to share my story with you and how I found myself forced to silence myself on what I truly with to share here online.

While I’ve been lost the dragons as always have found me and reminded me who I am. Here on Tumblr I’m able to be most myself as well as on Patreon and within The Hatchling Clan Dragon Discord.

Sometimes the dragons lead us into complicated situations so we can get ourselves out and become experienced enough to help others do the same. I’m excited where this journey will take me once I’m free again.

Until then the dragons have guided me to share my crafts with them through art and journaling to reconnect with them, remember who I am and share their magic still with the world until I’m able to be open and honest about what I’ve been through the past few years.

This timeline follows the evolving work of Azura DragonFaether. It is not a doctrine, but a documentation of development. “There is no compulsion in religion” (Qur’an 2:256).

• 1996 — Dragonborn: Spoke the word “dragon” by age one.

• 1998 — Dragon Encounters: Dragons recognized as imaginary friends by others.

• 2001 — Identity Emergence: Azura DragonFaether formed as a protector alter within a DID system originally known as Blue.

• 2002 — Laserium Inclusion: Began attending Laserium through 2017, shaping views on light, symbolism, and immersive myth.

• 2003 — Discovery of Dragonology: Inspired by Dragonology, beginning lifelong dragon study.

• 2006 — Dedicated Dragonologist: Committed to dragon study, classification, and conservation.

• 2008 — Formal Dragon Initiation: At age 13, began a dedicated Dragon Path.

• 2024 — Founded Siren Serpent Sisterhood: Created a women-centered space for embodiment and empowerment.

• 2025 — Founded Draconian Reformation: Began movement distinguishing dragon fact, fiction, and falsehood.

• 2026 — Founded Become The Dragon & Scalebound Spirit: Established a framework for transmuting pain into power and launched her official dragon shop.

customized dragon diary

My nephew asked me for a diary and he had a very specific idea how the covers should look like. He wanted this black and white or coloured dragon eye on it.

So I went hunting for a diary to take apart and re-do. Mostly I was looking for the closing mechanic, because I had no time to make one myself.

I had this nicely mottled, oil-tanned deer leather at home, but neither dragon eye design really went well with it so I decided to merge them and colour them with a sepia tint.

Finally I decided to add a slightly dragon-ish - scaley skin texture by soaking the leather in a very thin wheatpaste-glue (you keep it from drying out too early with a some clingfilm) added another layer glued the leather on before putting the sheet metal on the covers and let it completely dry in a standing press for a day or two.  At this point I’ve already added the book body to get a nice joint pressed in at the same time. That left me with the trouble of protecting the inner book from getting all wavy due to the moisture. So I added another plain sheet of metal that I later switched for some thin card board to absorb the moisture.

and this is the final result. I should have taken out even more card board to get a plain area for the eyes, but well, obviously I didn’t by the time I noticed it was too late. I’m still satisfied with how it turned out.

woke up to find out susie had a big tear in her side :( i think its from a combination of a weak seam & how heavy she is, her belly is full of weighted beads and it was probably a little too much stress on it… but i looked up a basic tutorial and tried my best to stitch her up myself!!!

ive snuggled with her every night since i got her… she got hurt protecting me from nightmares, and now she has a cool scar to show for it 💪

aghhhh i love emmet and ingo so much !! they're so funny and sweet... theyd be the best caregivers/big brothers i truly believe... and the way emmet talks is silly and always makes me smile.

Also i cannot stop calling ingo "ingo bingo"
