Today I bring you Morro but with dragon features! A concept I am in fact a big fan of( I can't get enough of drawing characters with horns and tails)

Ok, not entirely thrilled with the colors but they don’t look...as bad as I thought? Kai is mostly ok (I’m not fond of how close the darker red is to his hair color, but most everything else I think looks fine), but Morro is definitely subject to change (and if anyone who actually knows what they’re doing with colors wants to make any suggestions, I have no clue what I’m doing so go ahead)

And if the purple looks way worse then I think, don’t worry, I’m not 100% settled on using for Morro’s scales and it is subject to change.

But yeah, these are a rough idea of what Kai and Morro look like in my Venomous Teachings au.

Some tidbits about them:

Morro’s got two sets of wings bc I thought it would be cool and also bc his Element is Wind. I went with a smaller set of secondary wings bc it looked better while I was drawing, but I might change that so both sets are close in size and they fit together like Cloudjumper in HTTYD2, but we’ll see.

I have no idea if having two sets of wings would realistically make him faster or more agile, but I’m going to say that in VT it definitely does.

Kai’s tail tip is constantly smoldering, but it will only ignite what he wants it to. It’s warm to the touch, almost too hot to hold for a normal person. If he gets to heated (pun intended) than his claws and the tips of his horns will start to smolder as well.

The smouldering tail tip should look like a live coal, I just couldn’t figure out exactly how to do that.

It doesn’t come across like I want it to, but the black scales that start on Kais throat and continue down his stomach and towards his tail look like this

There’s always a faint glow coming from them. The glow increases when he breathes fire.

They can sort of act as a health bar for Kai; when he gets too fatigued, they start to go out, starting at the top. They’ll still light up when he breathes fire, but once he’s done they’ll go back out.

When he’s in full health, all of the...vents? I don’t really know what to call them other than that. But yeah, when he’s in full health, all of the vents should have a faint glow. Kai, having a sleep schedule worse than mine, a caffeine addiction to match, and pretty much no self preservation instinct, always has the top two or three vents dark, at least until he’s forced into better self care habits.

After Battle Tea (Dragon twins)

Percy chuckled softly as Morro tried again to escape the cuddle session that the Ultra dragon had started. It had been a good hour since the final battle had ended and Lloyd became the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master.

"They're not gonna let you go you know," Percy said pulling out a flask filled with tea.

Morro sighed and gave in to the fact that he wasn't getting up anytime soon, his tail flicking slightly as he pulled out his own flask.

"Where did you guys get those?" Their cousin asked.

Percy gave Lloyd a smile.

"Magic."

Lloyd rolled his eyes and walked closer. Percy and Morro both collectively agreed not to tell Lloyd to stop as the Ultra Dragon was probably gonna grab him too. Morro laughed as Rocky grabbed the former green ninja up by the back of his gi and plopping him down in between the twins.

"...You knew this would happen, didn't you?" Lloyd asked.

"In our defense," Percy started.

"You yourself should have expected it," Morro finished, taking a swig from his tea flask.

"I mean all three of us are part dragon and did almost die today," Percy added.

Lloyd let out a sigh that turned into a laugh.

"I guess you have a point there Perc."

It was quiet for a beat.

"So how long are we stuck here for?" Lloyd asked.

"judging by the dragon's past actions, I'd say maybe another hour or two.

"Two hours?" Lloyd said.

"It's your own fault you're here pipsqueak," Morro said.

"I'm not that small anymore," Lloyd protested.

"yes but we are still taller," Percy said, finishing his tea.

"Shut up shortie," Morro said to his twin.

"HEY!"
