Mtg token comissino I drew for a friend of mine! He basically said I could do anything I wanted so long as it was a dragon and so long as it was red.
It ended up...Very red. I gotta say, every time I do a full color illustration it's very humbling. I get reminded that even though I have a vision, if I don't practice color theory I CAN'T BLOODY DO COLOR THEORY!
But my friend liked it a lot, and I like it fine, it's just not what I imagined.

Arbitrary Token of the Week: Dragon (10E)
This week’s arbitrary token is Jim Pavelec’s 5/5 red Dragon creature token with flying, created by Dragon Roost from Tenth Edition. There are six other cards that create this type of Dragon token, but Dragon Roost provides us a vivid look into how dragons come into being in the first place, likening them to volcanic lava. While a great mana sink and possible Limited bomb, Dragon Roost seems just too slow for the likes of other Casual formats. If you’ve seen someone drop this card at the Commander table, let me know. Bonus points to them if they had the accompanying token to follow it up.

Arbitrary Token of the Week: Dragon (ALA)
This week’s arbitrary token is Vance Kovac’s 4/4 red Dragon creature token with flying, created by Broodmate Dragon from Shards of Alara. Putting out 8 points of power in the air is quite formidable, which explains why Broodmate Dragon was a staple in most Jund decks back when it was in Standard. I remember back when my brother and I were still relatively new to Magic, we purchased a couple of Commander (2011) decks at Walmart for $20 a piece, and one of them came with a Broodmate Dragon! If we knew any better (and if we had the money), we would’ve bought all those Kaalia and Zedruu decks on the shelf immediately.
