My first "published" D&D 5e homebrew: The Dragon Totem for Path of the Totem Warrior barbarians! Let me know what you think and maybe I'll get around to publishing my other homebrews!

this is when you rewrite the beginning to fit what happened
Oh absolutely. The beginning was garbage and is 100% what needs to go. Unfortunately it overstayed its welcome and the only salvageable parts are the end chapters bahaha.
It needs a full rewrite, really. The entire premise and plot shifted course and the majority of the book was rendered irrelevant by the changes it went through. I was trying to do a new thing but it turns out I like the old things better and said old things leaked into the story around the last two chapters. :Y
(it was not a good book. I hesitate to even call it a book. It made a complete about-face halfway through and is overall a confused mess and more a written example of the havoc the creative thought process can wreak than anything. It’s literally two completely different books fighting to be told at the same time and both failing.)
