ughhh back in the day i’d just bs the entire time or conveniently send the character away from the battle. i’d hate to do that now, but since this is in serah’s viewpoint, and she’s not doing much of the fighting (for now), idk what other options i have.

might just skip it for now and continue on with the chapter

i'm not even going to say it anonymously because i know i've praised you for this before. but. your worldbuilding ability/ability to set a fuckin scene. a lot of fanfiction writers just assume that the reader is right in the room with them because it's a pre-established setting with fanfiction, but dear god that's not true. you grab and pull your reader to right where they need to be.

;_;7 I wanna say that perhaps I’ve developed world building skills from, like the anon mentioned, my tendency to write crossovers? Like, you’ve got a character from one fandom dropped into another. Of course they don’t know where in the heck they are, and since the story is told from their viewpoint, I write it as if the reader is experiencing the new world with them.

Then, in the case of my Fate AU, I’ve got readers that aren’t familiar with the Fate series or FF12/13, so I’ve gotta expand on those too. I’m still a bit of a newbie to the Fate fandom myself, so I’m sort of learning everything with my readers.

... I have to admit: I’ve been writing since elementary school, and I’ve been writing crossovers since middle school. I’ve had a lot of time to develop world building skills, though it probably wasn’t until recently that I got really good at it.

Ironically, my only attempt at original fiction was, uh, pretty bad. It was a typical modern day story with lesbians. Very boring. It was for my high school senior project, so... I didn’t put much effort into it. Stick to fanfiction, Tango.

i felt the same way until galahad started getting involved with the rebels. then my OH SHIT meter ramped up to about 500

The game suffers from Same Face Syndrome where the enemies and bystanders use recycled models, and it ends up being a box of assorted entertainment crackers over and over again. At least with games like TEW the monsters are peppered here and there, so you can't really notice some of the repeats.

I mean, this game is a PS4 exclusive, so you'd think they'd pay extra attention to things like that, and to lip syncing issues. 

The rebels are very refreshing, I'll give it that. And I do love the game, I just wish I could love it more.
