Just learned Dragon Castle from @horriblegames & @cmongames! This has some great potential with my game groups. The game looks great with the Majong pieces and has an excellent puzzle for players to tackle. This is the first time in a while I've played through a game solo (playing as two players) to learn it. OJT EATS | Dragon Castle

In our opinion, London is only a hair (if at all) behind Hong Kong itself as the best place to get great dim sum. This week, we went off to try a local place we saw being recommended by Spanish chef and London restauranteur Jose Pizarro, Dragon Castle.

We start off with one of the classics, radish cake. Unlike a lot of versions, you could actually taste the chunks of radish rather than just flour. The cakes were pan fried really well with crispy edges. This is one of those dishes that is excellent when done well but is so often just a bit disappointing. Luckily for us, this was one of the better versions we've had.

Then it was onto these fried prawn rolls with sesame seeds. Crispy, with really aromatic sesame seeds, these were really impressive. The best thing was that inside each of the rolls were a couple of big juicy prawns. We'd definitely order these again.

Now back to about as classic a dim sum as you can get, the har gau. Can you really say you've had dim sum if you don't have har gau. Like the rolls, these had some big fat prawns in them with a delicate but still slightly chewy skin to them. Really good!

Now if har gau are the most classic, siu mai can't come too far behind. These were as good as the har gau. They were pretty large, with a prawn in each one and a good amount of pork in it too. They were bouncy (in a good way), meaty and juicy, pretty much everything you look for in a siu mai.

Onto the cheung fun; our favourite is actually the one with fried dough in it. The crunch from the dough works really well with the soft steamed rice rolls.

Last up was the ribs in black bean sauce. These are a bit of a guilty pleasure of ours. Often, they are more bone than meat but these had a good amount of pork on the bone. They were really well seasoned and just very tasty.

This was a really good dim sum meal. While this place might not have the reputation of say a Dim Sum Duck in Kings Cross but the food is just as good. If you're looking for a good dim sum place around Elephant and Castle, you don't have to look any further than this place.
