I haven't been on in a few days. I found a book series on the Kindle app I have on my tablet and I've been hooked. I'm already on the 2nd book. No shame.

A surprise from Leigh T. Moore: A Julian’s pov
Today I’ll try something different, something I never do: writing a post in English. O have to do it for a very simple reason: this mega surprise is an exclusive for my blog and it’s also thought for all readers. So you see I have to do this. Hope to do a decent work.
So I’m so lucky to be a book blogger, and I’m also really like to be me. I work hard for this site, I put everything I know in this and I hope I do a good job. Every day I wonder if this is enough, if I could do more, add new meme, new review, read more, but this is my best for now. October had been a very busy month in my blog, I had one or two, sometimes five, post a day, and I know that I cannot keep going like this. But I can promise that will be other wonderful things. One of the most amazing things is that I have met, since I open my blog, so many fellow bloggers, but also, so many authors, that are smart, easy to talk with and incredibly awesome. I love all of them and all have gift me something.
So, today, I’m very happy to present to all of you a very special treat from the wonderful and fabulous Leigh Talbert Moore, one of my favorite writers, with a very, very, very, special treat.
If you follow my blog, you know that I read and loved “Dragonfly Series” a sweet and really emotional series where the main character is Anna and she narrates her story…
The Series is composed by four books:
Dragonfly
Undertow
Watercolor
Mosaic

Synopsys:
Three bad things I learned this year:
-People you trust lie, even parents.
-That hot guy, the one who’s totally into you, he might not be the one.
-Things are not always how they appear.
Three good things I learned this year:
-Best friends are always there for you, even when they’re far away.
-That other hot guy, the one who remembers your birthday, he just might be the one.
-Oh, and things are not always how they appear.
Anna Sanders expected an anonymous (and uneventful) senior year until she crossed paths with rich-and-sexy Jack Kyser and his twin sister Lucy.
Pulling Anna into their extravagant lifestyle on the Gulf Coast, Lucy pushed Anna outside her comfort zone, and Jack showed her feelings she’d never experienced... Until he mysteriously withdrew.
Anna turned to her internship at the city paper and to her old attraction for Julian, a handsome local artist and rising star, for distraction. But both led to her discovery of a decades-old secret closely guarded by the twins’ distant, single father.
A secret that could permanently change all their lives.

In “Dragonfly”, Anna is divided between Jack and one of her best friend, Julian… Julian is an artist, he creates beautiful sculpture with scraps of metal, and he is now really well known in his town and around Florida.
Now I pass the word to Leigh:
In Dragonfly, the turning points in Anna and Jack’s relationship comes when Anna finds Jack at his birthday party with his ex-girlfriend Casey Simpson.
Casey has gone to college, and Lucy, Jack’s twin sister, told Anna she broke Jack’s heart.
The birthday party at the Kyser mansion also takes place one night after Lucy accidentally overdoses at Julian’s house.
Anna runs from the birthday party after catching Jack with Casey, and Julian runs after her.

Julian~
You know you’ve got more money than God when the sink in your guest bathroom is shaped like a giant flower.
I swear, these Kysers are something else. Lucy nearly dies at my house, and the next night, they throw the biggest party I’ve ever seen in my life. A birthday party for her and Jack, and it’s like nothing even happened two days ago.
Still, the artist in me insists I check out the bronze pedestal topped with amber glass blown into the shape of an open lily. And the welder wants to inspect the joints. It’s good work even if it is ridiculous.
Anna continues walking, looking for the Golden Boy. I’m doing my best not to care. I know, her being with him is partially my fault. Last year when she was my Algebra tutor, I saw her every week. I had something like thirty-six chances to ask her out, and I didn’t.
Something held me back, like I knew if I did it, my wandering days would be over. She’d hook me, and nothing I could do would stop me from falling hard.
When you’re just seventeen and a boy, that’s one scary prospect. But her cute curls and those green eyes did me in. She would focus on those problems so hard, a little line cut between her brows.
I’d wrap one of her curls around my finger and pull it. Immediately, she’d jump as if I’d electrocuted her. She’d turn red as a fire engine and get so flustered, I’d have to distract myself to keep from grabbing her and kissing those perfect lips. Now I’d missed my chance.
Beginning of school, I’d made my decision. I was asking her out, when Jack beat me to the punch. I still can’t believe it. Now he’s jerking her around, and she’s letting him. It makes my insides feel tight and angry—and I want to punch him in the face.
Lucky for me, this party has champagne everywhere. I guess when you’re rich as the Kysers, you don’t have to worry about things like the law. I grab a glass and finish it off quickly.
Lucy’s outside. The ring I made for her birthday is in my pocket, and even thought I’d almost given it to Anna, I’ll stick to the plan. I’ll give Lucy her present, even though everything in me wants to find Anna again, take her away from here, kiss her and give her this ring.
“Julian!” Lucy says my name like she’s startled, and she looks down, pushing her shiny golden hair behind her ear. “I didn’t know you’d be here. I… I…”
“Are you feeling better?” I have to ask. She’s dressed in a shiny, yellow dress that floats around her like air. Everything about her tries to say light and sunshine, but I can see the sadness in her eyes. I know how on edge she is.
“Yes,” she says, not meeting my eyes. People always say how blue my eyes are, but they’re nothing compared to Lucy’s. I guess that’s why she distracted me—she’s one of the prettiest girls I’ve ever seen, and one of the most miserable.
“I made this for you.” I hold out the box, and her eyes flicker to mine. For a second, the smallest glint of something is on her face. Maybe I ease her pain a little? I hope so.
She takes the square present and quickly tears it open, then she gasps. “You made this?”
I nod.
“For me?”
“Sure,” I say with a shrug. “I was trying out a new technique, working with smaller pieces. And using with a soldering iron. Jewelry’s pretty popular.” I’m saying all this because the last thing I need is for her to get the wrong idea about this gift.
“It’s beautiful,” she says, slipping the silver band composed of tiny sea shells onto her finger. It’s a perfect fit. Lucky guess.
For a moment, we don’t speak. She looks like she might cry, which makes me even more uncomfortable. I don’t know how to help this girl, and I really just want to tell her I’m sorry and find Anna.
“About last night—” she starts.
“You don’t have to explain anything,” I say. “I’m glad you’re better and I hope… well, I hope things keep getting better.” I’m an idiot. I don’t know the right thing to say to her, but I mean my words.
“Thank you. Again.” Her voice is quiet.
Just then a girl I don’t recognize calls to her. The girl is wearing a blue dress that looks like it came off the red carpet. She’s probably from their old private school.
Lucy looks quickly over her shoulder than with a fragile smile turns back to me. “I’ve got to go. The party… and all.”
“You’re the guest of honor,” I say. She nods, and I watch her leave before taking of to find Anna.
This house is stupidly big. It’s like something out of Gatsby with golden lights flooding the downstairs and laughing, semi-drunk people spilling out of every opening. I walk back slowly through across the enormous stone patio, my hands shoved in my pockets. I wonder how I’ll ever compete with this. I don’t have any money. I don’t even know who my dad is, and Anna’s being spoiled by this guy.
Walking through the brass and travertine living room, I see Jack on the patio. He’s not alone, but he’s not with Anna. He’s got some tall, model-skinny blonde draped on his arm, but his eyes say he’s just been busted.
Quickly my eyes are scanning every inch of the patio and living area, but I don’t see Anna. She had to have seen him judging by the look on his face—his eyebrows are pulled together, and his lips are tight like he’s mad. I want to jerk him by the prep-school collar, but instead I dash out the back door we came in.
Before I get too far, I see Anna’s shoes. That tells me she’s come this way, and from the looks of things, she was moving fast. This could be my chance, and I’m not missing it.

The picture teaser is the scene from Dragonfly when Julian finds her down by the shore crying. She’d tripped running in the dark and hurt her leg.
Thanks so much for reading and thanks for having me here!
Dragonfly is the start of their relationship. Watercolor is when Anna and Julian finally come together. I hope you enjoy their love story!
