Aggron gazes at the familiar dragon tamer. Ah yes, he remembers him alright. He and his own trainer going on adventures when they are suppose to be doing their normal everyday human things.
Regardless, the iron monster puffs his chest out, staring at Lance RIGHT in the eyes. That’s right Lance, he wants you to give him a good ol’ chest bump!
“And now just leave my phone charging... Don’t forget to set up the alarm... Yeah, this should do it.”
The very last shirt had been neatly folded up, set it on the basket and tucked away in his bedroom. This was the very last chore had to get done with, before he could finally go to sleep- and just in time as well! There is nothing better than getting a few extra minutes of sleep.
2:50 am
That’s the hour he checks on his phone one last time, before placing it on his nightstand- plugging it on the charger turn off the lights, turn around in bed and fall soundly asleep.
One thing about Morty that should be noted is that- besides a select few, he almost never retrieves his pokemon to their pokeballs- nor keep them in his Storage system.
Since he only ever sleeps for 3 hours, the chances of his pokemon causing any trouble are pretty low. In fact the majority of them prefer to watch over their master, and in his Gengar’s case- he loves to just cuddle up to him and sleep for the remainder of the night.
However there are certain things that happen, which are even out of the ghost types’ control. More specifically- the fact that Chandelure’s flames lure in not just preys for it, but it tends to attract others of its kind- and it comes in bands.
At that night, not long after the gym leader had fallen asleep- a band of small Litwicks (more precisely 5) had showed up drawn in by the ghostly violet shade of Chandelure’s flames.
The once silent living room, was be soon filled up by the sound of many giggles- almost as if there were actual children in there. The candle like creatures greeted the other of their kind by waving their tiny arms, in response to it- Chandelure chimmed in a low tone.
If someone isn’t used to their kind, might think that Morty’s pokemon wasn’t happy in seeing the Litwicks. Even though their guess would be far from the truth.
Chandelures just lackthe notion and the ability to react like most pokemon.
After their greetings came to an end, the luring pokemon went on to resume whatever he was previously doing. Leaving the candles by themselves- which meant, they were free to explore the appartment. And there was a lot for these tiny creatures, as they roammed around- all while what appeared to be a form of hide and seek as well as tag.
Eventually their games led them into Morty’s bedroom, they could hear the human breathing- as well as Gengar’s snore. At first there didn’t seem to have anything interesting for them to try and mess with, until his phone’s screen lightened up all of the sudden- due to a notification.
And it successfully caught the Litwicks’ attention.
They quickly made their way towards the foreign object- what was that? It felt lukewarm, sturdy and quite heavy as well. Certainly they couldn’t move it. One of the Litwicks dared to press their face onto the screen, and it unlocked the phone!
There were even more colors as well as the brightness’ intensity grew!
At first it startled the little guys, but soon they started giggling- as they all gathered around the phone and started mimicking their friend’s motions.
Since their focus was on the phone, no one realised how the noise as well as the brightness was starting to surge an effect on the human- who in a matter of minutes started stirring awake.
What the Hell could be possibly happening?
Finally he had turned around in order to face the source of the noises- due to his half slumber state it took him awhile to make it out what he was looking at. The pokemon were still too focused on their game to realise that Morty had woke up, and fair enough their game would come to a force and abrupt end as the phone had been yanked out of them.
“Out! Get out! Shoo! Go away!”
The human yelled at the Litwicks, which would be accompanied by a loud hissing from his Gengar- promptly scaring the wild candles out of there.
Once that was dealt with, he could return to his slumber... Right?
His phone vibrated- which prompted him to look at it, right away his eyes jolted widely open.
It appeared that in a matter of minutes, those Litwicks managed to make 20 calls for Riley- who was at Sinnoh, as well as over 30 for Eusine. If that wasn’t enough, the pokemon managed to spam Clair’s phone with messages essentially waking her up- and they did a similar thing to his boss, Lance. Silver seemed to have come out of this without a single scratch- the Litwicks had only sent him 4 messages until they were stopped by him.
After seeing the damage these pokemon caused, Morty simply put the phone back on the nightstand- plugged it back to its charger. Laid back on the bed, and remained like that- staring at the ceilling.
“I wanna go shopping!” Robin chirped eagerly, giving Lance a nod. “Can I get them things for adults? Like... papers and pencils and books? Do you think they would like that?”
