2025 / 3 / 22 Some concept sketches for a story project revolving around anthro dragons. Same story as the one teased here. I'm trying to feature out the art direction I want to take with the dragon characters in the story since I tend to swing between designing them as sleek and stylized (cartoony, I guess?) or overly-detailed bordering on realism. I'd like to strike a balance between the two. These fellas aren't of any particular characters in the story, but more of tiny sample of what the general population of dragons look like overall. My drawings have been feeling rather sloppy, at least in my eyes. Mental illness and getting sidetracked in the past really slowed down my development. I'm trying to make up for the lost time by "derusting" and squeeze in as much personal art as I can manage per day. But that's also going against the easy-going approach that I'm aiming to take with my art. I also have a lot deep-seeded resistance in regards to sharing my characters and story concepts publicly, hence the lack of anything substantial for me to talk about... outside of media made by other people. Nothing I can do but continue to push through that resistance.
