A sobs, frantically trying to staunch the never-ending flow of blood coming from the wound in B's abdomen.
"Shh," B rasps, weakly cradling A's face with a crimson-stained hand. "You're supposed to be the calm one, remember?"
"Why did you do this?" A wails, tears and snot pouring down their face. "It was supposed to be me!"
B smiles gently, their eyes already glazing over. "Did you really think I would just let you die?"
"You can't die!" A gasps. B's head falls back, their body becoming still.
"No! B, don't leave me!" A shakes B gently, trying to wake them up from the cold slumber that has taken their body. "Please, don't leave!"
"I never told you I love you!"
